Draco's P.O.V
The week went by rather quickly, I mean I'm not upset because Hogwarts is definitely way better than home, and I'd also have something that'd take my mind off the name of the woman who had affected my family years ago. Then I realized, this time, when I get back from the Christmas holidays, there will no longer be any 'fun' time or those 'I-forgot-my-homework' time any more. It'd be stuffed with tests and exams. (Though they mean the same thing.)
Okay, let's get it straight. Hogwarts is probably one of the coolest place ever on the face of Earth, but when it comes to exams it's actually quite stressful. I wonder how Crabbe and Goyle are coping with all the sudden change in the second semester.
Oh wait, they probably didn't know that we're already creeping into the zone of second semester. Right, it must be fun to be them, have no worries about anything that's related to school. Just tag along their cool leader and they'll be fine. That's probably how they feel.
But apparently, and also thankfully, I wasn't Crabbe and Goyle. I was me, and I had to get all pushed up because of a couple week of exam.
I wonder how everybody is coping. Especially those fifth years and those seventh year students. They must be all stressed out and everything. All those exams that they have to pass in order to get a decent job.
If I can tell you anything about myself, it's that I don't look forward to exams or jobs.
I mean, look at my father, even without a stressful job, he's always so uptight
"Draco, let's go!" My mother called from downstairs.
Odd, it's usually my father who brings me to school. No wait, actually, it's always my father who brings me anywhere. It's like I'm his slave or some sort and that I'd have to have him around to be able to walk around like a person. Yeah, that's right. Not even a free person.
But I didn't care, at least it's my mother not my father who's taking me to the station this time.
"I'm coming!" I called back.
Grabbing my trunk and my other everything, I headed down the steps.
"Go on, I've packed you breakfast, honey." she smiled at me weakly before looking away, "Dobby! Get the lunch pack down stairs!"
Almost immediately, Dobby arrived with my lunch pack in between his little wobbling hands. He pulled out his hand, giving my mother the pack, which she grabbed happily.
"I will be expecting the house clean when I return, Dobby. Not a speck." She shouted back as we stepped outside the door.
I had managed to give Dobby a swift smile before walking off with my mother. She opened the coach door, that was pulled by invisible things, and let me step on it first before her.
Though it was completely silent all the way to King's Cross station, it didn't feel so empty and cold like it was when I was with my father.

When we're finally there, my mother was still not speaking. She walked silently, holding my hands as I walked beside her. We found a trolley, and placed my luggage on them.
We both walked through the wall between Platform 9 and Platform 10, in silent. We pulled the trolley to where the train should arrive, we were there early so it was obviously not there yet. I mean, we're far too early. There was only another 2 people who were there.
