As we drove down long roads, we sang at the top of our lungs. When we finally arrived at the restaurant, I was starving. We got at table, then looked at our menus.
"What are you getting?" Zack looked up at me.
"I don't know yet. I think the Fettuccine Alfredo." I grinned at him as he put his face back down in his menu. Once we ordered our drinks, we were ready to order.
"Yea, I'll have the spaghetti with meatballs and she will have the Fettuccine Alfredo." Zack said looking at our waiter with a grin. As the waiter walked off, Zack took my hand from across the table and held it steady.
"What movie are we going to see?" He smiled as he asked me this.
"Well, I hope you like horror, because The House is playing." I smirked at him.
"Well then. That just means you'll lean on to me the whole time." He said with a laugh. He lifted my hand and kissed it. Just then my phone went off. I had a text from Logan. "Hey!! Where are you!?!? You said you would be here!!! I've been waiting for 30 minutes!!! That's it!! We're over!!!" I smirked as I showed Zack the text.
"That idiot. He clearly doesn't have all his nuts and bolts in place." Zack laughed. I giggled and kicked his shin.
"Ouch! What was that for?" He looked at me quizzically. I grinned then leaned over to give him a quick kiss. When my lips touched his, the waiter showed up. She looked at us with confused looks. I looked up at her, proud of what she had seen.
"Next time get a room you two." She said disgusted after she put our food down then walked off. Zack looked at me and laughed.
"Well, I can take a guess she isn't Isn't in a good mood." I chuckled as Zack took a bite of his spaghetti. After we ate, Zack payed and we left.
"Hey, babe. You good with stopping somewhere to get snacks for the movie?" He asked me while keeping his eyes on the road.
"Sure. Let's just not go overboard." I said nudging him. He smirked at me before pulling into a Convenience store. I got out along with Zack and walked in with his arm around my waist. I followed him down the aisles as he picked up some things. He chose to buy some soda, chips, candy, and popcorn. When we got back in the car, we drove to the theatre.
"How about we get in the back seat? There's more room." I suggested. He nodded getting out of the car. I slid through the middle of the seats as he went around back to get something. He came back with blankets and pillows.
"Carlie texted me so I could prepare." I nodded then scooted over allowing him in and to throw the pillows and blankets down. He slid in grabbing my waist and pulling me close. I happily went along and wove my fingers through his. He reached down and grabbed a blanket. He draped it over us. He then grabbed the food and took out the candy. One of the things he bought was chocolate hearts. He opened one up.
"Open up baby." I eagerly did as told. He dropped the chocolate in my mouth and it melted on my tongue.
"Delicious!!" He giggled as I nestled into his chest. All of a sudden, the movies loud music began. I sat up slightly so I could see. Zack pulled me closer, and boy was I glad he did. The first scene was the most scary thing I've ever seen. I quickly hid my face in the soft fabric of his shirt as he smirked.
"Very brave princess, very brave." I looked up at him with an annoyed look. When I heard screaming, I quickly darted back to his shirt. He had put his head on mine as we watched the movie. Eventually, he got tired of me in one position, so he moved me to his lap. I laid back on his hard chest. He put his arms around me to hold me in place, like I was going anywhere. I quickly fell asleep. He woke me up at my house. He helped me inside and I changed then he laid in bed with me. I cuddled up next to him. The next thing I knew, I heard my mom screaming. Then my dad. We sat and listened for a few minutes. It wasn't long, but was long enough to figure out they had been doing this for a while.
"Want to spend the night at my house? My parents won't mind." He whispered in my ear. It scared me because I was so focused on my parents argument, I had forgotten he was here. I nodded and he scooped me out of my bed. I packed some clothes, makeup and some toiletries. He quietly walked me to his car while my parents were still fighting. He started the car then left. In the car, I texted my mom telling her Zack had offered to let me stay at his house because we were out so late. She didn't respond until late that night. "Ok sweetheart. Be safe and I'll see u in the morning." I slept in the guest room which was nicely decorated.
When I woke up, I had a text from my mom. "Maya, Dad and I need to talk to you when you get home. Love you, Mom." This worried me. What would she tell me? Would it be about last night? What was happening?
