Violet didnt want to be here. She had been arguing for the past fifteen minutes that what had transpired in her lessons before hand was indeed an accident. Headmistress McGonagall had immediately summoned her once she heard that Trinity was almost injured; seemingly having found when she was walking by the classroom to check up on them, and she heard the loud boom that was her spell reacting to Trinity's. The Headmistress had come in an flurry of robes and anger, until she saw Trinity on the floor waiting for Ravenstick to make her feel better.Walking in on a Professor with his wand pointed at his student who looked like she was about to pass out was not a good impression. Professor Ravenstick did his spell, and Trinity felt better. She and Kayla were dismissed at the blonde's insistence that she could not be late to Quidditch. The Headmistress allowed them to leave, and Violet figured that it was only because she did not want to speak to them.
No, the only ones who could give her the information she wanted were the two people left in the classroom. So here she was, in Headmistress McGonagall's office, arguing that what she did wasn't on purpose when McGonagall is finding that hard to believe. The Slytherin was beginning to get frustrated, but she kept herself in check.
"I didnt mean to," Violet ground out. "It just happened."
"Well your incident almost cost us one of our seekers." McGonagall said reprimadingly.
Violet narrows her eyes. "Is this entire school obsessed with Quidditch? She's just a Seeker." She fires at them. "You know what i can do. I never asked for her to be there. In fact," She whirls to Ravenstick, who stood leaning against one of the book shelves near the entrance to the office. "I was told it would be a private session, not with two delinquents who could witness everything."
"They are not delinquents," Ravenstick said, standing up straight now with his arms crossed. "And for your information, Trinity is the best dueler we have here, she wouldve helped you improve."
"So what do you want me to do?" Violet said, not bothering to cover her unkind tone. "Hold myself back when i train? In case you didnt know, that isnt exactly something i can control. And Trinity is fine by the way, just so you know."
McGononagall sighs, and for the first time Violet heard the exhaustion in the Headmistress. This, for some reason, surprised her. "Trinity," The headmistress began, "Is the best Seeker we have at Hogwarts, that being said, her to be thought of as injured will raise a few heads, eyes, and ears that we do not need right now. Already attention has been brought upon you for your eyes."
"That isn't something i can help." Violet responded, a bit exasperated. "Everything- none of this i can control."
"You keep saying that," Ravenstick said, "But i don't believe a word of it. You can control it Violet."
"You have no idea what you're talking about." Violet snapped at him, purple eyes blazing. She remained controlled, collected even, but her tone contradicted her body language immensely. "How about instead of talking about how my wand went haywire, we talk about how Trinity was able to block off my spell? No one, and I mean no one, has been able to do that. Ever. Not like that."
McGonagall looked surprised. She turned to Ravenstick. "Is this true?"
Ravenstick seemed to bristle, his throat muscles working as he swallowed hard. "Yes."
"And you didn't tell me this immediately because..?" The Headmistress prompted. Violet recognized a hint of anger underlying her words.
"Because I didn't think it necessary to tell." Ravenstick said coolly. "Like i said, she is the best dueler we have here. For her to block a spell from Violet wasn't exactly surprising."
