"Why do you want to know?"

Trinity sucked in a breath as Violet came incredibly close to her, her face mere inches away from contact. Her bright violet eyes bore down on Trinity's honey ones, and the Seeker felt her body flush. Their bodies were extremely close together, touching and pressed against one another as Violet backed Trinity more into the wall.

"Violet..." Trinity gasped and lost her sentence as the Slytherin put a hand on her hip, the tips of her fingers beginning to reach under her shirt. The sensation of the Slytherin's touch drove her wild, and the small contact was nearly setting her body in a cold frenzy.

"What?" Violet whispered, her eyes captivating Trinity.

"Violet," Trinity said again, forcing out the words through a sluggish pool of thoughts. "Why are you connected to me?"

Violet brought her face down to Trinity's neck, her lips hovering over her pulse. Trinity nearly had her eyes roll to the back of her head at the sensation of her small and soft breaths upon there. "I should ask you the same thing."

Trinity shot straight up out of bed, sucking in a sharp breath of air.

She was greeted by the sight of her room bathed in moonlight, and she hung her head down in hands at the realization that once again, she was being kept up at night because of Violet.

She could not get the Slytherin out of her head.

And it wasn't just her, she also couldn't get the founder of her house out of her mind. Rowena's words echoed within, urging her to find out why Violet was connected to her placement in Ravenclaw. For the past four days Violet had avoided Trinity, and the Seeker returned the treatment. It wasn't as if she didn't want to talk to Violet.

She truly did, but she didn't know how to even approach her. Adding to that, Trinity wasn't exactly wanting to talk to Violet for casual conversation about their day. No, she wanted to gain a piece of this "puzzle" that Rowena had mentioned.

Which is why she decided then and there that she would scour the Hogwarts library for anything she could find. Kayla would raise a brow in question whenever she saw Trinity come back to their dorm room carrying dozens of books that looked so old that she was scared blowing on them might make them crumple to dust.

Any questions Kayla would throw Trinity's way was met with dismissive grunts or simple short answers. It seemed as if her best friend was too busy with other things nice an accurate answer or even divulge Kayla in what her purpose was in her newfound hobby of reading. For the first couple of days within the week that Trinity had become a major bookworm Kayla was quite unbothered by Trinity's lack of attention to any conversation they had.

Perhaps Kayla had thought that Trinity was studying very hard for a test. So she let Trinity go about her business for the rest of the week, taking notice of the Seeker staying late at the library and coming back at ungodly hours. It was slowly affecting Kayla. She began to ignore any advances from other friends to any kind of gathering. She wants dot observe Trinity more, and try to figure out what was going on with her best friend.

Kayla became enthralled in this mystery, and ignored her other friends because of it. Kayla gained no knowledge as to why Trinity began to behave like this. Stalking her best friend revealed nothing besides the fact that Trinity had gained an increased interest in the Library. At the end of the week, Kayla decided to finally take a look at the books. Trinity had already been out for hours to which Kayla assumed was for Quidditch practice. The short girl just woke up, and she silently cursed how late she slept in. That time could have been used for more sleuthing, however she wasn't going to let that deter her with the time she had left. Kayla saw a new stack of books on her bed. The previously checked out books were strewn all around Trinity's bed, as if the Seeker would throw them aside after reading.
