Chapter 7

Erica woke up tangled in Jacob's arms. She rubbed her thumb gently across his face admiring his features as he slept. She was on a high from how good Jacob made her feel last night but most importantly those three word he whispered onto her ear befoe she drifted off to sleep. She couldn't believe he told her that he loved her abd she couldn't believe she said it back.

"Stop staring at me" he mumbled with his eyes still closed causing her to giggle, she was in her oqn little world that she hadn't know she was staring at him."good morning to you too babe" she said with obvious sarcasim as she kissed all over his face. He chuckled "Morning babe" he said then pecked her lips.

{2 weeks Later}

"c'mon babe move" Erica said pushing Jacob over. He had woken up sick this morning and has been clinging to her ever since. She didn't mind but she had things to do and couldn't stay in bed with him all day.

"Do you want some soup or something?" she asked him as she got up from off the bed he shook his head."You gotta eat Jacob" She told him checking his forehead. He had a slight temperature."I'm not hungry I just want to hold you" he pulled her back to the bed, she kissed his cheek "babe I am hungry as hell so you gone have to hang on for bit" he signed the let her go."I'm only going downstairs shout if you need anything" She told him. He nodded then she left the room. After making breakfast for herself and making some soup for Jacob she went back upstairs and sat the bowl on the night stand and waited for him to come out the bathroom.

"babe you okay" she asked him its been about half an hour since she came upstairs and he still in tge batheoom. She opened the door and was nearly killed by the smell.

"damn " she mumbled fanning the air and rushing over to open the windows to let the place air out "You wanna go to the hospital?" she asked hin as she helped him up from being slouched over the toliet "No I'm fine, it's just a stomach virus" He told her. He knew he needed to go to the hospital because it was more than just a stomach virus but then again he didn't want to go because he would have to tell Erica that he was still drinking.

I don't know why Jacob don't to go to the hospital he knows he needs to go but yet he refuses. He would rather suffer then get help smh. Erica said to herself as she atempted to lead him over to the bed but kept stumbiling because he was to weak to walk properly and she didn't have enough strenght to keep him up."Jacob we are going to the hospital no if ands or buts" she said and he shook his head and laid back on the bed. "Jacob" she whined. "Babe I'm fine Ion need no doctor" he said weakly."Whatever Jacob but if you don't get a lil better in the next hour were going even if I have to drag you there by your nappy head we going" she could see he wanted to say something but he was to weak to have a come back.

"c'mere" he mumbled, she shook her head. Knowing that he wanted her to come and lay with him."I gotta go clean up that stink ass mess you made in there" she said pointing to the bathroom and reffering to his vomit and poop.

He pouted "please" He looke so cute, If he wasn't sick the things I would do to him. She walked over to him and he pulled her down on top of him. "Babe your burning up" she told him."I'm good Erica just lay with me" he mumbled.

"where's Jacob" Tink said with an attitude."He's upstairs" Erica said back with the same attitude. I swear this girl be trying me every time she comes around. "Well go get him" she told Erica who looked her up and down like she done lost her mind "he can't come down here at the moment" She said "okay whatever just tell him I need him to watch Zi for the week" she said placing Zaria and her bag down on the ground and kissing her cheek before leaving.

Erica closed the door then picked her up "hey pretty girl, wanna go see daddy?" She asked her as she moved her bag to the side so it was out of the door way. Tink pack a big bag for her to be just staying a week, I guess she knows messy Zaria can get. Zaria nodded her head as Erica walked up the stairs with her on her hip."Daddy sick so give him a big hug and a kiss so he'll fell better okay" Erica told her and shr nodded her head."okay"

"Daddy!!!" Zaria said crawling on the bed to get to him. She hugged him and then kissed his face multiple time causing him to chuckle "hey babygirl" Jacob said."Daddy I gave you a big hug and a lot off kisses you feeling better?" she asked."much better, thank you princess" he said kissing her forehead as she laid her head down on his chest."Uh-uh Zaria you can't be around your daddy for too long" she pouted.

"why" she whined "because I don't want you to get suck too" I told her.

"I wanna be sick like daddy" she said hugging onto him."If your sick how are we meant to play dollies, you can't play if your sick" She quickly let go of Jacob and came running my way."We play dollies?" she asked. Erica nodded "go get one for you and one for me" she told her then she took off running into the other room.

"you foul Erica" Jacob told her making her laugh "you'll live"

"I am going to eat you" Jacob shouted in a monster like voice interrupting Erica and Zaria's tea party. He picked Zaria up and spinning her around. I guess he is feeling better. They both laughed and Erica joined them. She was happy to see he was feeling better.He continued to spin her around and throw her into the air then all of a sudden he felt like he was about to pass out.

"Erica!" Jacob said in a panicking voice. She around and quickly made her way over to him "whats wrong" she asked him buy he wasn"t able to make out any word so he quickly put Zaria into her arms "Babe you ok?" she asked him just before he collapsed back. "JACOB!" she yelled placing Zaria onto the bed and rushing over to him.

"Jacob, baby are you okay" she said on the verge of tears and she tried to dail 911 but her fingers was trembling so much she couldn't properly dail to number.

"What happened?" the paramedics asked while checking Jacobs pulse"he was spinning his daughter around then he just collapsed" I said and he nodded. "Does he have any liver or kidney proplems" he asked placing the.. on his back "not that I now of" she responded "how was he feeling before he started playing with his daughter?" the paramedic asked rolling him back over on his back "he was kind of weak he said it was a stomach virus or something" He nodded again the instructed his partner to get stretcher. They put Jacob on it then took him to the ambulance driving him to the hospital.

Eroca put on pair of jeans and grabbed a jacket for her and Zaria before getting in her car and chasing the ambulance to the hospital."How may I help you" the receptionist looked up at Erica for a brief moment before going back to typing on her computer "I'm here for Jacob Latimore" Erica told her and watched as she clicked on her computer. "They are sill running tests you will have to wait in the waiting area, the doctor will be right with you" she nodded and a quick "thank you'" before picking up a sleepy Zaria and walking in the direction of the waiting room."Where 's daddy" Zaria asked Erica "he's with the doctors" she told her "is he okay?" she asked."I don't know baby the doctors are trying to see if he okay" Erica rocked her back and forth "can I see him" Zaria asked in a sleepy voice while yawning. "Get some sleep and when you wake up you will be able to see him okay?" she nodded then nuzzled her head into Erica's hest and fell asleep.
