the two boys walked quietly in the brisk autumn morning. jungkook stared at the leaves tumbling through the streets.

"don't you think it's all odd? how fucked up our situation is?"

situation?

"l-like how we're here now. like the fact that i can hear your replies in my head. like how we suddenly have to save everyone from fucking up their lives. it's so, so sudden. how did we end up in this mess? were we meant to deal with this much agony? or is this some kind of punishment..?"

taehyung starred at jungkook, admiring his sense of thought. he always seems to have something on his mind, as if his head is never quiet.

do you regret it?

"huh?"

do you regret being with them?

do you regret choices that led you up to this point?

jungkook's eyes widened at taehyung words.. or thoughts.. "not at all!" he said without an ounce of hesitation. he mentally cursed himself for the outburst. taehyung only smiled.

"not really.. i learned a lot from our leader after he took me in. he's ridiculously philosophical."

taehyung tilted his head at the other boy, never taking his eyes away.

"the more you let your mind run with ideas & theories the more you stay aware of your surroundings."

but at the same time you can never let something be.

jungkook shrugged.

i can't live that way.

sometimes it's just easier to live in ignorant bliss.

the world seems less heavy when you only have to deal with what's coming next.

"looks like i'm not the only poetic one." he smirked as the other lightly bumps him.

they walked through the glass doors of the familiar café.

the elderly lady smiled as he saw taehyung. "oh taehyung! good morning!" she looked at jungkook, "& you brought a friend this time?" he gave an awkward smile & touched the back of his neck. the woman began pressing keys into the machine.

she knows what i usually get. go ahead & order.

ah okay. do you come here that often?

she smiled & looked to raven haired male. "what would you like to order young man?"

"plain black." he said.

taehyung looked at him with a disgusted look.
