Daemon POV
I can't believe that, that girl would give me anything as payment. Probably she'll sip out when all the work is over and I'll just get the sketch she made of me. I still can't believe that the sketch was made almost perfectly of me. The coloring and the minor details she caught. Anyway now onto the task at hand.
I made my way to a different complex that Mia said that was where the idiot was hiding. This punk had another thing coming if he thought that threatening one's life was fun. I whistled as I walked towards the development. Now how the care the smarty punk dimwit. Oh speaking of him there he is walking oh so casually towards me like he's just out for a stroll, now to talk to him just to make sure.
"Hey there stranger, can you help a man out?"
"What do you want old timer?"
"Easy there kid I just need some directions, you see I'm a detective working on a big case."
"The murder of the mayor?"
"Smart guess kid."
"What about it?"
"Can you lead me to this address?"
"That's my address."
"Oh really? Then would you mind to take the time to answer a few questions?"
"Yeah but make it quick I have somewhere to be other than here."
"Ok do you know a lady by the name of Lily?"
"Yeah she's my ex tramp of a girlfriend."
"I see well she was at the crime scene and she said that she saw you there acting suspiciously."
"I wasn't anywhere near there."
"Can you prove it?"

"Are you sure you weren't there?"

"A person videotaping the speech captured you on it so if you deny anymore you're in deeper trouble. Tell the truth or get yourself arrested."
"Alright I was there but I didn't do anything."

"Lily told me that you where stalking her lately and now you have made threats to her and her new boyfriend. Is this true? Don't bother lying either or I'll arrest you and I am recording this."
"FINE! I did make a threat on her life but I wasn't intending on acting upon it."
"Sure you wouldn't."
"I do and besides you don't look like a detective."
"What do I look like then?"
"A no good reporter."
"I see truth be known, I'm a hit man hired by Lily to kill you."
"WHAT?"
"If you try anything on Lily's boyfriend or herself, you can consider yourself dead as a doornail. I can back up this claim with the murder of the mayor. Is that clear?"
"Yeah... just don't kill me and I won't do anything. I swear on what I hold holy I won't."
"Good now get back inside your house and I'll believe you." He did as he was told and I couldn't help but laugh. "Now then Mia time to claim my payment in full come morning so, you'd better be ready for me to collect."
Mia POV
I had another one of those dreams again, the ones with Daemon in them. I can't really figure out why I'm dreaming about him. I think I dream about those that I owe a payment or a favor to. This was a little different now but I just can't seem to find the meaning to it.
Dream
"Mia, throughout history many people have been blessed with power, rank, and stature. I am one of those people but I'm afraid what will happen to me if I change my ways."
"Don't be afraid Daemon, you're not alone where you stand."
"I know, other people are in the same situation."
"Then why do you question yourself?"
"To keep my dream alive and to try to find my purpose in life."
"Stop it! Why must you torture yourself like that?"
"I already told you that..."
"I heard you but still. You have a bright future and you can make it as long as you have the will for it. Like me you need to find that inspiration to move forward instead of dwelling in the past."
"You're right on that account, however you need to think more deeper than spewing general comments."
"I'm sorry..."
"No! Don't apologize to me it's not your fault it was my mistake."
"Then stop beating yourself over something so futile."
"I don't know how to stop."
"Then let me help you, let me be your support and inspiration."

End Dream
I woke up after my dream ended. I was panting hard and I was sweating like crazy. I knew that he would be collecting his payment anytime now. I got up and found that my window was wide open. I looked around and found Daemon standing in the corner of the room looking down at the ground.
"Why can't you knock at the front door?"
"It's too cold outside for me to wait out there."
"How did you get my window open?"
"I have my ways."
"What do you want as your payment?"
"Later."
"What?"
"I'll tell you later but first I have something to say."
"What's that?"
"He was so scared that he cried all the way back home."
"That's it?"
"Yeah."
"So what do you want as payment?"
"I want..."
