A smile lit my face at the hunters' words. Akashi had come for me. Momoi glanced over at me and smiled through her tears. We were saved. Nash growled and swung me over his shoulder as the walls shook from another attack.

"Keep her chained up, Silver prepare for battle, I will see to the merman."

"Tetsu-chan!"

Momoi cried out, trying to pull her wrist out of the chain as Nash took off with me. I beat at his back and kicked my legs.

"Let me go! Can't you see you don't stand a chance? Let me go and there doesn't have to be blood!"

He laughed as we headed into the room with the tank. He plopped me on the ground and grabbed some steel handcuffs, locking my two wrists together. He moved to the ladder and attached my cuffed hands to a metal plate sitting on the edge and then he pushed it into the tank. I was yanked down with it as it pulled me to the bottom of the water. I panicked for a moment before I changed my legs for a tail and looked up at Nash through the glass as he unsheathed his sword.

"I won't give you up, you are mine."

"You're mad! I was never yours! My heart and body belong to Akashi!"

I tried to move but the cuffs were too tight and the plate too heavy. Nash knelt down on the outside of the tank, resting his hand on it as he looked down at me, his eyes dark pits.

"When I kill him you will have no chance but to be mine."

"I will kill you if you touch him."

I glared up at him, my eyes blazing with anger and fear for my fiancé. He just smiled down at me before heading out of the room.

Akashi's Pov

I stood on the deck of the Red Emperor as I watched the ships bombard the fort before us. The pirates had sunk the ships first, before the hunters even knew they were under attack. I told them there was to be absolutely no chance of Nash getting off the island with Kuroko. I could see figures running in the village outside of the fort and felt a twinge of pity for them. We would try to keep the innocent villagers apart from the fight but I knew that in war anything could happen and I could see Nash using them for his own gain. I sheathed and unsheathed the sword at my hip, watching the gateway to the fort, and waiting for it to give way so we could send our men in. Kagami walked up beside me, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword so tight I could see his knuckles tuning white.

"Relax."

That was Kise, walking forward with his long spear to stand beside us.

"If you tense up before battle your muscles will cramp up during the actual fighting and you will get yourself killed."

Kagami glared at the blonde before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, his body relaxing.

"He is so close."

We all looked up as a cheering sounded on the ships and a loud crumbling sound met our ears. The wall had caved in, we had breached the forts defences.

"All hands to the boats!"

Takao and Himuro waved us off from the deck as the rest of us got into the boats and rowed towards shore. I could see similar boats taking off from the pirate ships. I caught sight of Kasamatsu at the front of the one from the Kaijo and he nodded to me while Kise blew a kiss to his lover.

We stormed the beach, blades drawn and rushed towards the fort. The villagers had fled and those that remained were the hunters and their mercenaries. The pirates soared forward, taking care of them as my crew and the Kaijo's continued on. They had formed a defensive line behind the destroyed wall but Murasakibara moved forward with a war cry, swinging a giant war hammer and taking down half the men in the blink of an eye. We rammed into the rest of them, metal clashing and men screaming as we cut them down. I felt the warmth and smelt the iron stench of blood as we cut through the mercenaries, leaving none alive. This was war and they had chosen the wrong side. They had enslaved my people, murdered the merfolk and now kidnapped my lover. It was time for them to feel my vengeance.
