Kagami's Pov

I walked through the crowd of people around the ruined wall to the fort. With Momoi as my guide I had helped her free the slaves and had brought them outside to where we had won the battle. They milled between the injured, helping bring water and seeing to the wounded. The villagers had returned and were helping dish out food and children ran back and forth, bringing medical supplies. The surviving mercenaries were kept bound hand and foot inside the old slave compounds, none of the hunters had survived. I had felt bad about our orders, let no hunter survive. That was until I had seen the harvest room. I considered myself pretty strong but the sight of those blood stained benches and jars of body parts had sent me fleeing as my stomach rejected my last meal. After that I didn't flinch as I cut them down. How many of my people had fallen by their hands?

I shook my head, chasing away the dark thoughts as I continued my search. I pinpointed Murasakibara, his head visible above the crowd and made my way over to him, glad to see he was okay. I hailed him and he turned, smiling at he saw me. When I reached him I saw that Midorima and Kise were with him. Everyone was covered in dirt and blood but I was glad to see that they weren't badly injured, Kise sported a bandage around his head and Murasakibara only had scratches. Midorima was unscathed and he shrugged when he saw my look and held up his bow.

"Joys of being a distance fighter."

"Has anyone seen Aomine?"

My heart ached when I saw their faces fall, concern in their eyes.

"No, we were hoping you had."

I felt my panic begin to rise, had no body seen him since he had taken on Silver? Kise's hand rested on my shoulder and he smiled down at me.

"Let's go look for him together hey?"

I nodded, not trusting my voice as we walked through the crowd. Murasakibara was a blessing as he could see over all the chaos. We moved inside the walls of the fort and he cried out, pointing to a spot in the shade of the wall where two figures were sitting there. Kise took off first, scooping his dark haired lover up in his arms as I rushed forward, dropping to my knees beside Aomine. His left arm and chest were roughly bandaged and stained red with blood but he managed a smile as I kissed his cheek.

"I was worried about you."

"Me?" I cried, my voice cracking.

"You're the one who is bleeding all over the place!"

"You should see the other guy."

He pointed and I looked over to see Silver laying slumped against the rubble, both of Aomine's swords transfixed in his chest. Shaking my head I grabbed a flask from my belt which was filled with sea water. Pouring some into my hands I called on my power. The water and my hand glowed red as I placed it over his wounds.

"I don't have as much power as Kuroko but I can mend them closed so you don't lose any more blood."

"That will do, just get me to a point where I can move around without bleeding."

"Yes, be quick about it we have to get moving."

I glared back at Midorima and saw the others were nodding in agreement, glancing at the fort before us.

"What are you all rambling on about? Look at you, everyone is injured! You need to see a doctor not go gallivanting around the place!"

"I am worried something might have happened to Akashi and Tetsu."

I looked back at Aomine whose eyes were filled with worry as he looked at the building where his captain had gone in. It had been so long ago, surely they both should have been back by now?
