Chapter 6

Lucy's P.O.V

Ayato grabbed his uniform and left the room. My mind immediately went back to what Ayato had told me yesterday. He treated me like he meant it. When people said things he smiled. When they were choosing to say dirty things he closed his eyes. Even though I already knew, I chose to ignore it. Knowing that someone else knew about this made me think that more people may know. I sighed to myself. This seemed more stressful than I thought. If I break up with him, it wouldn't be for Ayato. 

My phone began to vibrate causing me to look at it. I had a call from Yamato. He wanted to video chat. I couldn't do that now. I waited for five minutes and called him the regular way. He answered almost immediately.

"Hi, I'm sorry I was in the bathroom."

"Hey Lucy, I wanted to talk to you."

"Same"

"You first"

"Okay, Yamato I'm sorry but I...."

"You want to break up with me? I know and feel the same." My eyes widened. He wanted to break up with me? I didn't even finish what I was saying before. I mean he wasn't wrong but that didn't change anything. At least this would be somewhat easier to do I guess. I began to look around for my clothes. "I have an internship in America for three years and don't want you to wait for me."  He was leaving. "Can we still be friends?"  

"Sure"

"Okay, I have to go. The plane takes off soon.  Bye Lucy"  He waited till the day of to tell me. He also wanted to be friends. Asshole, I guess Ayato was right as well.

"Goodbye Yamato"  Why did my heart hurt so much. We weren't even dating that long. I clenched my heart. Dammit, my heart is hurting more than anything right now.

Five Minutes Later

 I had the possibility to run into from what I read five of his brothers. I sighed before I walked out of Ayato's room and down the hall to look for him, only to meet who I believed had been Subaru.

 He looked at me and shook his head. "I guess Heartfilia-sama is with Ayato now. I thought you were dating Suzuki-sama." I shook my head.

"Not anymore"  I looked down making him lift my head up with his fingers and see my tears, which had been embarrassing. "What's wrong with me?"

"Nothing" I nodded.

"Yamato broke up with me easily. As if it meant nothing. "

"There is nothing wrong with you." I looked away from him causing him to sigh. "Listen, people like you and sometimes people enjoy the fact that you are theirs. So they choose to either brag or let people do that for them." Oh great so he knew too? "Idiot Yamato, what makes you think that this would be okay?"  

"Heartfilia-sama-"

"I should have ended it first"

"But-" I looked at him in the eye making his eyes widen. He didn't say anything. I could feel the bright light in my heart go out. I had nothing left and no one could strengthen my heart now. Not even my spirits in this world. "It's okay, tell Ayato that I'm going back to work."

"Heartfilia-sama"

"Yeah"

"You can't walk home like that, come on." I looked down and sighed. I forgot I took Ayato's sweatshirt.

Subaru's P.O.V

I pulled her into my room and gave her a shirt along with a pair of sweatpants. As she put it on I couldn't help but stare at her. Her curvaceous body, her porcelain face, everything about her made me attracted to her. Was that why Ayato had been so protective of her? 

"Heartfilia-sama"

"Yes" Her innocent eyes, her lips, I can't help it. I kissed her causing her to quickly back away.

"Subaru-kun" She looked at me with a blush.

"I'm sorry," She had the look hurt. 

"It's okay. It was a mistake right. Let's pretend this never happened." She smiled and left. That smile she had, it wasn't genuine. Shit, what have I done?

Lucy's P.O.V

  I touched my lips. It was just a kiss but knew it was wrong. What is going on with me!?! Was being too nice a bad thing? I shook my head and made my way home. 

Once I got inside I took off the borrowed clothes and put them in the washing machine. I quickly changed into a skirt and a button-up white shirt. I put his my hair in a bun and locked my door and left.

I had done all my paperwork and had nothing to do. I heard someone come in and looked up. "Heartfilia to-sama I'm so sorry."

"Subaru" I walked to him and smiled. "It's  fine...huh, Subaru-kun are you okay?" I quickly began to get a  tissue.

"Huh?"

"Your nose is bleeding," I said as I gave him the tissue. He stuffed it up his nose. He sat down on the nurse's bed and lifted his head up. "Why is your nose bleeding?"

He looked away from me with a blush and I looked down to see that four of my buttons were gone and my black lacy bra had been showing. I blushed hard and nearly screamed but stopped as Subaru stood up.

"I...have to go." Subaru was about to go but I stopped him and sat him back down on the bed.

"Subaru-kun, I'm not letting you leave until your nosebleed goes away."

"Heartfilia-sama"

"Call me Lucy-san"

"Lucy-san you wanted someone to be here for you right? I can do it."

"Oi, Subaru" We looked at the doorway and seen Ayato. He looked back at me. 

"I assume you are busy. I will talk to you later." He left before I could even say anything. Ayato slid the door closed and began to walk close to me.

"You needed someone here for you?"

"Of course but when it comes to Subaru-kun-"

"What did you call him?" He grabbed me and pinned me to the wall.

"Subaru-kun "I glared at him. He couldn't rule my life. It's bad enough that Yamato and I are not together. Now what, I can't be friends with anyone else. 

"Idiot, I am making an offer."

"Which is?"

"To be here for you."

"You can but that's not going to stop me from being around-"

"I know but that's not gonna change how I feel." Something wasn't right. From his expression, he seemed hurt. "Lucy"
