Normal P.O.V
Lucy woke up as she felt someone pull her tighter. She looked to her right and saw Ayato sleeping peacefully. She blushed as she watched him. It was rare to see him like this. She couldn't help but feel sort of calm as well. He cringed in discomfort which worried her. Was he having a bad dream? Or was it a painful memory?
She couldn't tell but wanted to know. Was it about Yui? She was about to turn her body when he pulled her even closer to him. She was now stuck. She held his hand in hers before falling back asleep. For some reason, she had found a way to feel comfortable and wondered if it did the same for him.
When she woke up she realized that it had been time to get ready for work. As she tried to get up she couldn't, due to Ayato's tight grip. She looked at her hand and saw that she didn't let go of his. She blushed hard before she let it go.
Ayato's P.O.V
I woke up and hugged Lucy again as I felt her let go of my hand. "Ayato" She looked at me making me look away. I hated it when she looked at me. It always distracted me and somehow made me do anything she wanted.
"Don't look at me like that." She didn't look away.
I looked at her and saw her brown eyes which made my heart beat faster.
I attempted to turn my body away from her but she stopped me by holding her hand against my cheek. She blushed as she looked at me. "Recently, I have been being selfish and don't want you to go to anyone else but me. " She kissed me. My eyes widened and I quickly backed away. She bit her lip.
"I think I like you." She then stood up and went into the bathroom. I watched astounded and confused. I sat there for five minutes before I began to get ready to go home. As I left her room I heard the bathroom door open. I didn't want to look at her, I wanted to leave. If I looked at her I would stay and suffer the consequences of love. As I touched the doorknob I heard her voice.
"That brat" I whispered to myself.
"Ayato" I blushed hard. What was wrong with her? Did she know what she could have done to me? "I love you." I felt my heart race. I could leave, right? It was wrong, but what if she only said this to break my heart? She didn't love me, right? There was no reason to. I treated her like trash and in return I got love? Just how screwed up was the world? I heard her floor creak as she walked near me.
"You are lying."
"I'm not"
I don't deserve you
"Just because we sleep together doesn't mean that I love you. If anything you are just a stone in the lake. Just look at you. You're nothing that a guy would want."
Please go to someone else
She had been glaring at me. I felt it. I turned around for a flash of heat to hit me.
I soon woke up to see Lucy next to me. I felt her hand in mine and blushed. Was what happened just a dream right? I blushed even harder as I heard her say something in her sleep. Something that I didn't expect for her to say.
"Ayato, I like you."
