Chapter 5: Having some fun

~*~Emma's P.O.V~*~

As we were watching tv all of a sudden the door opened. "girls come down stairs, it's time to decorate the cake!" Julie's mom squealed with excitement. Both of us got up and made our ways to the stairs.

As we walked into the kitchen, there was already the tools that we needed to decorate the cake, and well...the cake. We got our frosting and pretty much started slapping it on the cake, not really tho.

As we were all decorating the cake, the house phone started ringing. "I'll be right back girls, keep decorating the cake," Julie's mom told us as she went to answer the phone. After she left I decided to take the sprinkles and just put it all over my lips. I just wanted to have some fun. "what are you doing?" Julie asked as she giggled a bit. "I have sugar lips! Now love me!" I yelled as I grabbed Julie and shocked her. "No I'm sorry but I can't love you," Julie said in a playful way. We both laughed.

Julie had just put sprinkle in my hair and I had just smacked frosting on her face with my hand. We were just messing around, we weren't even decorating the cake. Julie's mom had been on the phone fore about 30 minutes now, or even more. So we stayed in the kitchen and pretty much fooled around. We made a mess.

After a couples of minutes Julie and I agreed to stop messing around. We grabbed the frosting and started decorating the cake.

When we were done we just waited for Julie's mom to hang up the phone. We wanted her to see how the cake turned out.

As we heared Julie's mom hang up, we then heard footsteps coming tours the kitchen. A figure walked in, it was Julie's mom. "Mom look! What do you think?" Julie asked with joy. "Honey it's beautiful!" Julie's mom said as she absorbed the cake closely. "Let me grabbed some plaits and dishes, girls do you'll want some cake?" Julie's mom asked as she opened the cabinet to get the dishes. "sure!" Julie and I both said at the same time.

Julie's mom gave us both a peace of the cake. "Hey wanna go outside and eat it?" Julie suggested. "sure," is all I said.

We sat down on the bench. I was in Julie's backyard along with Julie. The birds were chirping and it was sunny out. It was spring, it was cold at times. I loved living in New Jersey.

We talked as we are out cake. We shared laughs, we joked around.

As we were talking, all of a sudden Julie's phone started vibrating. She grabbed her phone and checked it. "what is it?" I asked as I ate a peace of my cake. "it's a text message from Jerome," Julie said as she typed. "oh," Is all I said. great, just great. Julie's probably gonna start talking about Jerome. like 'he's so sweet! He's the best, OMG I love him.' And pretty much all that. Some times I wish I never had introduced them to each other. I mean I didn't wanna be rude but if it wasn't for me, they probably wouldn't even know each other. Then maybe just maybe, he could have been mine...

"what?" I heard Julie say confused. "huh?" Is all I said as I snapped out of my day dream. "He said 'turn around' what does me mean?" Julie asked as she looked at her phone once more. As I looked around I saw...Jerome?! When did he get here?! Jerome sneaked up behind Julie and then scared her. "Ah!" Julie screamed. She turned around to see Jerome. "Jerome!" She screamed as she gave him a hug.

~*~Julie's P.O.V~*~

I gave Jerome a hug. As we pulled away we gave each other a quick kiss. Jerome sat next to me. Emma was eating her peace of cake. I just laid my head on Jerome's shoulder. I was so cozy. "Well I got to go home, my mom just texted me saying she's outside waiting for me," Emma said as she got up. "hey Emma, I'll put the plait away." I said as I got up. "ok," Emma gave me the plait. She then walked back inside to got get her stuff.

After she got all of her stuff she then went onto the front yard and got in the car. "Bye Emma! I'll see you tomorrow!" I said as I waved to her. she waved back and then left.
