Chapter 15: something goes wrong

~*~Emma's P.O.V~*~

I walked sparky along the sidewalk. Earlier in the morning he was barking and pulling on my sheets, he grabbed the leash. He wanted to go for a walk.

I like walking, relaxes me, I can say the same thing about sparky.

I sat on the swing set while keeping an eye on sparky. How the clouds looked like Cotten candy, the air was fresh. I watched the squirrels playing around, made me laugh a bit.

As I sat on the swing set I felt a pair of arms rapped around my waist.

"Hey," a voice said calmly. I knew that voice anywhere, it was Jerome.

"Oh hey," I answered. He sat on the swing set next me, what better day than to spend some time with my best friend.

Jerome and I ended up talking for what seemed like hours.

After some time we decided to walk to a near by dinner. I grabbed sparky and we walked while we talked, we talked about our life's and how we've been.

When we got to the dinner we pretty much ordered everything in the menu, we were both animals. It's a fact, everyone where just staring at us as we chugged down our food. Jerome and I laughed at how much we were eating, I burped: a loud burp.

"You call that a burp? Let me show you a real burp" Jerome said. A couple of seconds passed until a huge noise was made, Jerome made one of the most loudest burp I've ever heard. I could tell not everyone in the dinner were happy. Although I laughed, we both finished our food before heading out. It was a bit late anyways and I knew my parents would get worried.

After paying for our food I grabbed sparky who was laying on the floor and we walked outside. I liked how the streets were full of lights, it was nice. Jerome was so nice to walk sparky.

We waited to cross the road when I saw a car going fast and was about to hit a cat. I rushed to the middle of the road and crabbed the cat and ran to the other side. I failed, as I ran I tripped and fell to the hard road ground. The cat ran off, then I looked in front of me and all I saw was big bright lights before my whole world went black...

~*~Jerome's P.O.V~*~

I watched as the car hit Emma. I fell to the ground as tears ran down my face. I grabbed my phone and called 911. As I made the call I started crying, asking why would she do that.

Operator: hello, 911 what's your emergency?

Jerome: *sniff* yes my friend just *sniff* got hit by a car.

Operator: okay can you give me the address?

I gave her the address as I tried not to cry. The operator told me they were on their way. I watched as how Emma was bleeding, I got up and ran to the middle of the road. I grabbed her body and hugged her. My thoughts were destroying me, all I could think of is what if I lost her, then what?

The paramedics arrived, I carried her to them. They put her in the ambulance, I couldn't just leave her. I got in the ambulance with her, the doors closed. As I sat next to her I started stroking her beautiful hair, I prayed that I wouldn't loose her. I couldn't loose her.

The paramedics rushed Emma to the emergency room, I followed behind until a nurse grabbed me.

"Let me go! I have to go with them!" I yelled.

"Sir no one can go into the emergency room, you have to wait."

The nurse led me to the waiting room, I grabbed and pulled my hair. I was angry I couldn't see her.

I ended up crying for an hour or two. I called everyone and told them what happened. Mitch, Emma's parents, Janet, Jack, Chris and Julie where all heading here right now.

The first one to arrive was Mitch, then Emma's parents along with Janet and Jack. Then Chris and Julie. we all anxiously waited for some news. hours passed until the doctor came to see us. Emma's mom got up,

"what's wrong with my daughter? Is she okay?" She asked. The doctor's face told it all, nothing was right.

"Ma'am your daughter, she's in a coma." Emma's mom fell to the floor, she screamed and yelled as Emma's mom held her: trying to comfort her. I started crying, crying is all I could do. Mitch pat me in the back and told me everything was gonna be all right, but I knew nothing was...
