Chapter 7: Carnival

Well here's chapter 7. Sorry for the late update :/ it's 10:10 right now :| tomorrow I'll try to update since I got no school cause of the snow storm >.< I want spring all ready! But anyways hope you guys enjoy :3

~*~Emma's P.O.V~*~

Chris parked the car. I could see all the beautiful lights coming from the rides. We got out of the park and walked to the entrance, there we waited for Julie and Jerome to come.

~*~Jerome's P.O.V~*~

Julie and I were on the way to the carnival. Julie was on her phone, as always. Most girls would be talking with her boyfriend; Julie wasn't that girl, she was always on the phone.

I could see the shining lights flickering from the carnival rides. They were beautiful.

I locked the car, then Julie and I headed to the entrance.

As we walked toured the entrance I spotted Emma and that guy. They were laughing. "Hey guys!" Julie greeted them as she went to hug Emma. I stayed next to the guy. "hey," the guy greeted me. "Hey," I responded back. "I'm Chris," the guy said. "I'm Jerome," I introduced myself. "So what are we waiting for? Come on guys! Let's have some fun!" Julie said excitedly.

We bot our tickets and walked in. We could see all this flashing lights, it was beautiful. "Were do you guys wanna go first?" Julie asked. "umm...how about the Ferris wheel?" I suggested. "OK!" Julie responded.

We lined up and waited for our turns. Since we were waiting I decided to talk to that guy Chris. Might as well get to know him.

Emma and Chris when on first, Julie and I went second. They were in front of us. As we got lifted I couldn't help but look at Emma and Chris. They were just talking and laughing; Julie and I just sat here together awkwardly.

~*~Emma's P.O.V~*~

I was laughing as Chris told me his funny jokes. He was so much fun. As we got raised all the way to the top, the Ferris wheel stopped. I looked down to see the beautiful view. But then I felt sick to my stomach. "Hey, what's wrong?" Chris asked concerned as he put his hand on my back. "It's just that, I'm a bit afraid of heights," I respond. I felt my hands getting sweaty. "Hey don't be afraid, I won't let anything happen to you. okay?" Chris responded with a sweet tone as he put his arm around me. That made me blush a bit. "Okay," I responded with a warm smile. I gently laid my head on his shoulder. It's weird how I'm so comfortable around Chris; even tho we just met. But I just stayed like that. I felt safe.

~*~Jerome's P.O.V~*~

As I saw Chris put his arm around Emma, I felt sorta... Jealous. I don't know why, but I just did. Then Emma laid her head on his shoulder. That made me wanna just rip off Chris's head. I just felt uncomfortable. Emma is my friend, nothing more. I have Julie, and I love her. But I just didn't like Emma being like that with Chris. I mean Emma and I are Best friend, we've been best friends since six grade. It could just be that I just don't want Emma to get hurt, she's my best friend after all. "Jerome?" I heard a voice echo. I then felt my body being shucked. "Hah?" I suddenly said as I snapped out of my thinking. "We have to get off," Julie said standing up. "Oh! ok," I respond as I got up and exited the ride.

I walked back with Emma and Chris were they were waiting for us.

We went in a couple of rides, it was fun. Soon after Julie wanted me to win her something. At first I didn't feel like it because I was tired. But then I saw Chris doing the same thing for Emma. So I tried it. I did end up wining a teddy bear for Julie. "Here you go babe," I said as I handed her the teddy bear. "Awww thank you," Julie responded as she gave me a hug and kissed my cheek. After wining her a teddy bear, we all went to buy some cotton candy. After we ate the cotton candy we went back to getting on more rides.

~*~Emma's P.O.V~*~

We ate cotton candy. After that we want back to have some more fun. We pretty much got onto a million rides! It was fun, if you ask me. Soon after it was around ten, that meant the carnival was closing. Julie, Jerome, Chris and I excited the carnival. Before we all left our separate ways, we said our goodbyes. We left to go find our car in the parking lot.

We got in the car and I put on my seat belt. Chris started the engine and then we drove off. He was of course gonna drop me off at my place.

I turned on the lights for the upstairs. I quietly walked to my room.

I got onto my pjs then hoped onto bed. I turned off the lights and got really comfortable. I closed my eyes and felt myself drifting off.
