The Ramos' Manor.

Aiden Walker.

Aiden nervously glared at the tailored suit his father was holding in his hands. Both his parents eying him suspiciously. Especially his mother, who still didn't buy the lie Aiden told her when Mason left the roses on the porch.

It was the day when he falsely proposed to him at that restaurant and made that confusing comment of possessiveness. Almost a month back when he kissed him, then frowned upon it afterward. After that, Aiden went to his room, his mother followed him with the bouquet of roses Isabella had given him at the restaurant.

He had to fabricate a lie about how he and Mason were teasing each other, but she looked unconvinced. Now that he thought about it, he could've just denied everything, since there was no card with his name on it in between the roses.

In his room now, she gave him the same look, asking for an explanation for that expensive-looking wedding white suit.

Aiden actually believed that Mason gave up on that plan since he stopped talking to him. Ever since that day and after that confusing kiss, the bad boy ignored him, taking an interest in the school slut once more.

It did hurt, a lot, but Aiden, somehow, did expect that. He knew that he was hopeful, and the events that occurred clouded his mind. Mason was straight, Aiden had to remind himself whenever his heart clenched, and his eyes stung with tears, at the sight of him with that girl; whenever he wouldn't spare him a glance and would go a different way whenever they were in the same place.

His best friend was confused as well. He never gave up on asking Aiden why the sudden change? Why was Mason asking him weird questions about him? He wanted to tell Adam, but he felt embarrassed and didn't want his friend to think low of him.

Adam was set on a pedestal for Aiden when it comes to someone with great morals. If he did find out that he was a sold-out like his father even if he was forced, he did benefit from it. He didn't want to think about how his friend would react.

"Mason asked me to be one of his best men at the wedding." He trailed off when something flashed in his father's calculating eyes. He threw the suit on his bed like it burned his hands.

"Yeah, he did tell me about that . . . and about his plan as well."

Aiden blushed deeply, biting his lip absently at the fact Mason had talked to his father. He wondered if he told him that he was the fake boyfriend.

The latter chuckled dryly, a knowing look directed at Aiden.

"It's a great plan, I tell you." He said, amazed with a burst of breathy laughter. "Glad he found some queer to do such thing for him . . .Wait, is it Adam?"

Aiden felt himself heat up in both shame and anger. His father always expressed his disapproval when it came to Adam and his sexuality. He hated that Aiden was friends with him, and he'd always try his best for them not to hang out so much. He had this stupid and bigoted belief that Adam will affect him, somehow.
