Lincoln Heights - Mark's residence.

Aiden Walker and Sam Johnson.

"Say, Aiden?" Thomas whispered, and Aiden only hummed lazily as an answer, immersed in the darkness of the room Mark provided for them.

Sleeping in a stranger's place and bed never appealed to him, but since he'd been on the run, this was the new norm for him. No matter how comfy the bed was, though, or how smooth and silky the sheets were, it never felt like home.

"Why is the drug called Gorillaphent?"

His friend asked in a musing tone and added before he could say anything in reply. "And don't tell because of the logo. It's enough that Mark treated me like a child when I asked, brushing my hair with a smug look."

Aiden turned his way and looked at the dark figure of his friend.

"You are a child." He teased, and Thomas made a noise, sounding his irritation.

"Dude, it's not funny anymore. Mark even taunted me earlier, scaring the wits out of me, and all you guys did was laugh. Not cool, man."

He was referring to the unfair treatment he received when Mark asked him to try the handgun. He took them to his shooting range in the basement, a large room mounted with soundproof panelings.

Mark helped him position himself, handing him noise-canceling headphones, giving him the go-ahead to take his shot. Thomas tried hard to contain his excitement, focusing on the target, his hands tightly gripping the gun. He jumped when he felt someone behind him, fixing his posture, whispering in a low and soothing voice for him to pull the trigger. Thomas, for the first time in his life, got flustered. His trembling hands missed the target by miles, jumping away from Mark when he felt his hands on his hips.

"Mark was just messing with you. Sam must've put him up to it."

"You think?"

Thomas's voice wavered, making Aiden smile. "For sure, he was. But, there is also the possibility that he fancies you."

Narrowing his eyes in evident frustration, making Aiden chuckle. "Relax, Tom. Mark doesn't seem to be that type of person."

"That type of person?"

"Like Luke or. . . Mason." Aiden had a bitter smile at the mention of his husband. "He knows you don't have that kind of interest in him. So even if he does, he won't bother you."

"I just don't want to upset him. He seems like a nice guy."

"Don't be sensitive. I don't think Mark likes you that way."
