Luke's POV

Five days after my not date with Karalynn, I had my first meeting with my tutor. Her name is Nicole. To say the least..she's fricken hot! Damn was I happy to see her. She is Cole's older sister. She's a senior, on the girls basketball team.

Anyways its now Saturday so I don't have to go to my tutor today. I don't know what the hell I'm going to do today. I'm currently swishing a basketball into a hoop on my wall from my bed.

I'm so fucking bored.

Maybe I'll-who the hell is calling me?? I pick up my phone and turn it over. Its Kara so I pick up without hesitation.

"Hello?"

"Hey. I haven't seen you in forever when are you coming over? Or are you gonna make me work? You know how I hate work." she says in a complaining tone. I haven't seen her since our non-date last Saturday. I was kinda hurt since she indirectly friend zoned me. ME!!

"I just saw you last week."

"Uhh. When was the last time we went a week without seeing each other? Fifth flipping grade so cut the emotionless dumb ass act and tell me what's wrong." Dafuq did this girl just say to me. I'm not an emotionless dumb ass...am I? But she was telling the truth. The last time I went even two days without seeing her was fifth grade. She was sick and my mom wouldn't let me go see her. This was back when I actually listened to my mother.

"I asked you on a date and you friend zoned me. I just thought it was awkward." Oh shit...knowing her she took that the wrong way.

"Excuse the fuck out of me for just getting out a relationship Lucas! I didn't realize I was obligated to go out with you! You know what text me or call me when you are not acting like a bitch!"

"Kara!" that was all I got to say before the line went dead. And I have been proven right again. She took what I said and ran her own way with it. I just meant that guys don't like being rejected. And no one said that she was obligated to do anything. And I swear that girl is a nonstop state of PMS. Her attitude is crazy...but the fact that she is a nut job just makes me love her more. Weird as it may sound its true.

She does have a point about just getting out of a relationship. She and Carter-well Carter broke up with her-about two weeks ago. I don't know maybe I did try a little too fast.

I didn't see you complaining before.

I have never been rejected before her. I think its weird that the girl closest to me and my best friend would be my first rejection. This is insanity. I need to talk to Cole. I picked up my phone and messaged Cole on Facebook. The message read

Dude, rejection sucks. Big time. Advice ASAP

I put my phone down and stared at the ceiling for a while contemplating on whether I should call him or not. About 5 minutes my phone buzzed and I checked it to see I got a reply from Cole and another message from Karalie. The reply from Cole said

LMFAO hold up THE Lucas Martins got rejected!?! xD this is for sure a first!! Who did it??? I need to give them a fricken hug and thank them for minimizing your ego. Oh my god lml I'm dead!!

Ok guys, meet my best friend Cole. AKA the biggest ass I know.

I responded telling it was Karalynn.

Then I checked the message from Karalie hoping she wasn't sending an 'I hate you' message from Karalynn.

What ever the hell you did to my sister...fix it before I rip your fucking head off! Thanks :)

Me: Dude, I didn't do anything to Kara. She called me and ended the call pretty much calling me an-and I quote-"emotionless dumb ass" so I don't think I need to do anything to apologize before she apologizes to me. Whether she likes it or not she needs an attitude check bc she hurts ppls feelings. So before I even talk to her YOU need to talk to her.

Karalie: You like her right? Apologize. Believe me she knew she was wrong...she wants to see if you really do like her. Just apologize, I know your right, she knows your right and so does everyone else. Just do it

I didn't respond to her after that. I immediately called Karalynn. The line rang 4 times before she picked up.

"Yes?" she says when she finally picked up the phone.

"I'm sorry Karalynn. I was just hurt because you know..." there was a long pause and he broke the silence.

"No Lucas I don't know."

"I don't get rejected." I say bluntly.

"I'm your best friend and I love you but you need an ego check."

"I know. I'm sorry. Do you forgive me?" sounds kinda like I'm begging her.

"Yes, I forgive you now get your ass over here so we can do something my boredom is at a maximum high and Karalie and Missy just went on a date." she laughs and her laugh is the most beautiful thing I've heard in a long time.

"I'm coming don't worry." then the line goes dead.

"Oh my god I'm so hungry!" Karalynn yells. She's on the couch and we are having a stay at home movie day. I'm wearing basketball shorts and a plain white T-shirt. She's wearing extremely short shorts and a tank top.

I throw a pretzel at her and she catches it in her mouth. Its like she really doesn't care what I think of her.

Well maybe that's because she doesn't.

She is so cute though. The movie Cyberbully just ended and she was crying into my shoulder most of the way through. She acts so tough yet cries when a girl in a movie can't get the child proof cap off of a bottle of pills. This girl is something special. We are watching Netflix and have no clue what to watch next. When we finally decided it was a movie called The Host. Its about this alien thing that goes inside of a humans body. I guess its a good movie.

Halfway through she gets cold and snuggles into me. We have done this plenty of times before and it didn't really make a difference. Now that I like her, I don't know how to take this. Her skin is soft and she is beautiful.

She soon falls asleep in my arms. She's done that a lot before too and did it matter? Nope so I really can't pin point what has changed..or when I started liking her. Maybe I always have liked her and just didn't notice...

Anyways...I pick her up and lay her down and cover her up with a blanket and watch as she twists and turns in her sleep. She talks in her sleep too. I heard her say "Yes! Yes a million times yes! Now kiss me stupid." I want to know who she was dreaming about ughh. I seriously despise rejection.

As soon as I get up to leave her house at 9 pm she wakes up. She has been sleeping for 2 hours. I didn't ntice she was awake until I opened her door to her room to head downstairs.

"Where ya going big guy?" she asks.

I turned aroumd to see her staring up at the ceiling. "I thought you were sleeping so I decided to not be a creeper and watch you sleep and go home."

"Oh." there goes that laugh again.

"Want me to stay?" I ask.

"Do bears shit in the woods?"

"I guess thats a yes." this time we both laugh and I go back to her bed.

"You are the best best friend ever." she says as she looks deep into my eyes.

I just I could be more than a best friend.
