Kara's POV

So I have a boyfriend that I don't really have any feelings like that for.

Wonder-fucking-ful.

But this relationship means absolutely nothing to me. I've decided that in order to get revenge on Carter I have to have him wrapped around my finger once more.

Therefore, I have to get back with him. And if I only know one thing about him..its that he's a jealous fuck. He was always jealous of Luke. I am closer to Luke and have known him for way longer.

Well its evident that you don't care about Luke because if you did you wouldn't take advantage of his feeling like this. You know he really does love you and playing these games is not going to gain you anything.

Well, annoying ass voice of wisdom living in the back of my head, that is why its so much easier. I know him better then anyone else ever so I can do whatever I want. And plus that player needs to be played.

Yup, I'm aware that I'm a horrible excuse for a best friend so no need to state the obvious people.

Believe me this is just killing me.

The only thing I hope for is that he never finds out and we break up for a valid reason that I'm able and willing to openly explain.

Don't do this dumb shit and maybe you won't have to do all that thinking.

"Love you too." I respond quickly and then try to change the subject "So did you finish your English homework with your tutor today?"

"Yeah, it was pretty easy. I come back in 3 days though."

"Yeah I know."

"Then everyone can see that we are officially the couple." he says and I dont know how to respond so I say a simple "Oh."

"Yeah, I can feel Sabrina's jealousy from here though. Don't let her get to you baby. The worst she can do is kick you off the cheerleading squad." well that's reassuring...

" Yeah."

"Babe, are you alright?" he asks and I give him the smallest smile I can bring to my face and say "I'm perfect."

"Okay baby but let me know if anythings up." I just nod in response.

Well I mean what was I gonna say, 'Hey I know your mom just died and you just got out of a really bad car accident but I'd just like to let you know that I don't love you and I'm just using you as a pawn in my little chess game.'

Yeah...no.

I can't even make eye contact with him anymore. The guilt is getting to me so I don't look at him much anymore. I just try to focus on the goal.

To make Carter jealous. Which is the dumbest plan I've ever heard of. You are going to break your best friends heart into a million tiny pieces and don't even care.

I do care I just don't care enough to do anything about it.

Yeah..the voice in the back of my head was right. I'm gonna hurt him and then god know what'll happen. But yes I'm going to continue with my insane plan.

But knowing Carter, it'll work.
