Chapter 2: The Friends...
When McKayla got to school the next day she was greeted by Casey-black hair big gray eyes-and Leia-blonde hair, blue eyes-her best friends.
"Hey Case."
"Sup Kayla, did you hear about Wren?"
Casey had a serious expression, not her casual 'school sucks, when can we leave?' Face.
"No, what happened?"
"Last night she got jumped, she was with Caylen and Katrina. I heard they didn't even help."
The bell rung cutting there gossip time short since McKayla had gotten there late. It was the beginning of the new semester and they each got new schedules, looking at her classes she moaned but realized she had art. McKayla loved art, modern art was her favorite.

She started for her LA room Mr.Lee he was a nice guy a little strict but not a bad guy.
"Welcome class, my name is Mr.Lee, please get your note books out-McKayla, your late. Sit next to Tommy and Pat"
Ugh. Patty, does this guy hate me already? Who's Tommy? She sat next to Pat and Tommy she felt as if she was going to throw up.
"Hi, i'm Tommy, but you can call me Tom."
She turned to introduce herself but fell silent as she looked in his beautiful eyes.
"H-Hi I'm McKayla, but you can call me Kayla."
Why are you being so stupid? She had to ask herself, she looked at him like a lost puppy. Sure he was cute but no way would she stand a chance with him. Not after what everyone would say to him after her break up with Jack. Ah Jack he was the Quarter Back for there high school foot ball team. McKayla had tried out for cheerleading with Leia, Casey, Wren and Jessie. Casey and Wren didn't make it but the other three did, Casey and Wren never really got over it.
"McKayla, would you give us the answer?"
"What?" The whole class laughed, especially Pat, McKayla had never really liked Pat but she learned to accept him. After all he was Jacks right hand man, if Jack needed anything Patty would be there to get it to him.
"C'mon Kayla I know you know it."
"Uhh... What was the question?" Kaylas cheeks got red and started to burn.
"Patty do you know the answer?"
"1794" Patty looked back her her with a smirk on his face. If only she had been able to slap him, that could take that stupid little smirk off his face.
The bell rung it was second hour. Hopefully she didn't make the same mistake with Ms.Anderson as she did with Mr.Lee.
"Hey, do you know where the Science room is?"
She turned to see Tommy looking at her with his big green eyes.
"Uh yeah, this way." She smiled.
"Thanks." He said with a relieved look on his face.
"I didn't want to have to ask Patty, he seems mean."
"He's a total jerk, don't get caught up with his shit."
"Good to know." Tommy giggled. She led him down the long hallway filled with frantic students hurrying to there next class.
"So where are you from?"
"California."
"What made you move to Minnesota?"
"Well, my Mom got a job offer to work for the county." They neared the science classroom.
"Nice, come find me after this class ill help you to the next one." She smiled and walked to her next class.
"Okay, bye Kayla."
"C-Ya." She called over her shoulder without looking back.
As she neared her next class she looked on her schedule Math next oh great, Ms.Anderson. She peered in The class and saw Casey chatting with Sammy and Mackenzie chatting with Ana. "Really the stickers?" She whispered to herself, walking in the class room her boots making little sounds on the hard wood floor.
"Good morning class my name is Ms.Anderson, I am your Math teacher. Today we will be taking notes." McKayla sat by Casey who was still chatting with Sammy, what could be more important then taking Math notes? Kayla had to giggle to herself she could think of many things, but decided to listen in.
"I heard the new kid is hot."
"Really? I heard he was buff."
After only listening to two lines she had, had enough. Whatever he was both of those things, he had big strong arms with kind of long hat hair with wings and the most beautiful green eyes but they were friends.
"Kayla, i saw talking to the new boy in the hall, isn't he hot?" The question had caught her off guard so her answer was horrible.
"Ya he was flaming!"
"Huh?" Casey and Sam were looking at her like a dumb blonde-stereo types-they didn't laugh.
"Are you okay?" She realized she sounded crazy good thing she wasn't sitting by Patty or Jack.
"I mean ya he's hot but were just friends."
"I saw the way he looked at you! You should get with that."
Kaylas mouth dropped open, like she was trying to catch a fly.
"No, no, no. I barely know him."
"You would perfect." It was Sammy speaking now.
"Sammy stay out if this." Realizing how hostile she sounded she turned back to her.
"Im sorry, its just I don't like him. Thats all."
"Yeah... Whatever."
