"For real though," Chase chucked, obviously intoxicated. "I kissed Princess Ariel."

I rolled my eyes at him and tried to keep a straight face. He was hilarious; and so were the rest of Callan's friends. Levy and Chase were always cracking jokes, and Ryan was the mom of the group.

"I think that's enough for you big guy," Ryan muttered taking the beer bottle out of Chase's hand. I don't know what he thought that would do considering it was already empty.

"Come on Ry, just let me be me!" Chase whined, "You just need to except me, and cherish me. I mean man, I cherish you. It's the least you could do. After all I have never once told anyone any of your secrets. Not one has ever spilled out of my gorgeous lips. I've never told anyone about that time we were at Robin's house and you pissed your pants, and I never will."

Ryan's cheeks reddened and he glared at Chase, "I'm seriously going to kill you."

I laughed so hard I nearly peed myself. Chase was such a cutie pie. He had platinum blonde hair and emerald green eyes. Since Ryan took away his beer he sat in the corner of the booth and sulked. Ryan had shaggy dark brown hair and brown eyes to match, and dang was that boy tall. He towered over me and had taken the liberty of giving me the nickname Short Cakes; which just so happened to have stuck for tonight. Levy had brown hair too but not as dark as Ryan's. His was more of a caramel kind of color and his eyes were hazel.

Callan took me by the hand and pulled me out of the booth.

"Want to go on the Ferris wheel?"

I felt exhilarated; I loved Ferris wheels. I jumped up and set the cotton candy I had in my hand on the table.

"Short Cakes, don't leave me with these two," Levy teased. I smiled at him and blew him a kiss which he pretended to catch.

Callan chucked and I jumped onto his back. He gave me a piggy back ride all the way to the line to the Ferris wheel. The night sky was decorated with stars and the fair was terrific. The boys and I had already ridden everything from hot air balloon rides to the spiny chair ride.

I stared up at Callan and noticed his stunning smile. I loved that he was always so happy; so young and fun. It was crazy how I've only been with him for two days. It only took two days for us to become completely open with each other.

He glanced down at me and intertwined our fingers together. I bit my lip, friends held hands right? That's just what we're doing- friendly holding hands. I mentally face palmed myself, great Leah you're in denial. Did I like Callan? I mean he was stunning, and with his personality it was sort of hard not to like him.

We reached the beginning of the line and I suddenly dreaded getting on the Ferris wheel. It looked anything but safe. When it moved you could hear the creaking of the bolts. The man unhooked the chain and indicated for us to move on into the cart. Shit, shit, shit Leah do not get on that thing. That is exactly what was going through my mind as Callan lifted me into the rickety cart.

I sat down and everything was alright, that is until Callan jumped in. Once he sat down the ride started to moan and make instable noises. Callan looked at the expression on my face and whaled in laughter.

"LeLe you look hilarious," he said through fits of chuckles.

I playfully slapped his arm and tried to get comfortable on the death trap.

"Keep your hands inside the cart at all times," the announcer guy said, and I shrunk farther into my seat. This was going to be great, and that was sarcasm.

The ride started to move upward and the bolts creaked. I clung onto the metal pole next to me, and Callan placed his hand on my knee.

"Leah, the ride is perfectly stable."

As if on cue, right when the word stable came out of his mouth the roar of the ride got louder. I shushed him and glanced over the side. We were at the top; if this thing broke I'd die no doubt about it.

The ride was ten minutes long; I held my breath for ten minutes. Well not literally, but it sure felt like I did. When our cart door opened I shoved Callan out of my way to be out first. I ran through the exit and collapsed onto the ground.

"Grass! Beautiful grass!" I exclaimed throwing handfuls of grass into the air acting like the drama queen I was.

Callan ran to my side and wrapped his arms around me, "I'm so sorry, I thought you'd have fun on it."

He was actually apologizing for giving me a night I'd never forget. I laughed against Callan and took in his smell. He smelt like minty fresh goodness. I pulled away from our hug and sat at a park bench. My stomach gurgled and my cheeks flushed.

Callan grinned and took a few steps away, "I'll be right back."

He turned around and ran towards the food booth the guys sat at. I laid back into the bench and looked around the circle of people. Little kids were playing tag; couples were holding hands and kissing, and then there was that sick group of people that stood in the alley way making drug deals. I cringed, those people were low. Who sells drugs at such an innocent event? And the worse was how young these kids looked. In fact they looked only a couple years older than me.

Wait is that- no that couldn't be. There in the alley stood a dark familiar figure, the man turned around and I caught a glimpse of an angel wing tattoo. Once my eyes caught sight of it I tried to deny it, tried to convince myself that it wasn't him. That it wasn't Jaleb. That it wasn't Jaleb making a drug deal. But I couldn't deny it when the moon light lit up his stunning face. My first love was fluffing making a drug deal right in front of my eyes!

I felt tears swell up in my eyes and I sprinted towards him. I don't know what took over me, but before I could even think twice I was in his face punching his chest over and over again. He grunted and fell back onto the muddy ground. I lifted my fist to strike for his face, but he shielded and twisted my arm away from him.

"Leah," his icy eyes widened. "What the hell are you doing here?!"

I pulled away from his rough grip and started throwing punches. I felt the impact of my fist clashing with his face, and his drug buddies chuckled. When I finally stopped Jay's black eye was surfacing and his teeth were clenched.

"So Jaleb" a teen with shaggy blond hair stepped forward. "Who's the cute feisty one we have here."

Jay pulled me protectively behind him, and even though all I wanted to do was beat his face in I suddenly felt sanity catch up with me. I was in a circle of big bad drug dealers. I was in deep shit.
