Dear Diary

A week has gone by since my last entry and the reason why is because a shit load has happened since my last entry. Let me explain.

Rex and I went to the court house to tell Dad and Shelley that I was pregnant but the only person we could find was Dad's lawyer who looked very grim and pale. When we walked over to him he said he had bad news and instantly I thought crap Dad's going to jail. He said to meet him at his office in half an hour because he was hungry and needed lunch so Rex and I went to Subway and got something to eat. Not that I could really eat but after Rex said I needed to eat cause of the baby I gave in and ate half of the sub.

We met with Dad's lawyer and he said he couldn't get a hold of Shelley, she disappeared after the morning tea break but he had some good news and bad news for me. The good news was the case was over because after lunch they were basically going to let Dad go cause Dad's ex's story doesn't add up and that he was a free man. The bad news was that he had to go to the police station again for lunch and there was an accident on the way. Dad's in hospital in critical condition.

Rex took me to the hospital the whole way there I tried to get on contact with Shelley, her phone went straight to voice mail, she didn't answer the home phone, I left a message on both. I even contacted a few of her friends and her Mum but no-one had seen her. Once at the hospital I saw Dad and his head is half bandaged and he has bruises and cuts everywhere. One of his legs is broken and he has some broken ribs.

All the doctors told me was that he's unconscious but seems to be stable for now they aren't sure whether he will stay stable or not. Rex said he was going to go ring Mika and his brother so they know what's going on and would get me a tea(coffee is a no-no) I sat there holding Dad's hand while tears poured out. I tried talking to him but I got no response.

Ok so your up to speed now, Shelley is still missing, Dad's still hasn't woken up and the landlord is coming over soon apparently he needs to talk to me about something, which doesn't seem good. Rex has been staying with me since all of this has happened seeing as I'm in no condition to look after myself let alone the baby inside me. Speaking of which in a couple weeks I will be meeting with my mid-wife and in one week I need to get a blood test to check that everything is ok.

The pregnancy so far consists of me throwing up and my tummy getting tight, so far my baby bump isn't showing so I don't have people giving me bad looks. Rex said not to worry about that stuff cause we will be prepared for when bubs arrives. Which reminds me we are meant to be going shopping soon for baby stuff. I have some money in my savings account and Rex wants to buy a few things. So I better go the landlord is here and then Rex is taking me shopping.

Later......

Back from shopping and I'm pooped, well the bad news is the landlord said I would have to move out seeing as the rent isn't going to be paid with Dad in the hospital and Shelley not being here and me being too young. Good side of that Rex has said I can move in with him and Ronnie. The other good news is the doctor's have said that Dad is doing well but is in a coma and in a way it's a good thing because he's healing well.

Shopping went well I managed not to throw up and that was after eating a couple slices of pizza and ice-cream. I brought some cute things for the baby, some white singlets, some bibs and some socks and booties. I won't buy outfits till I know whether I'm having a boy or a girl. Rex brought a newborn car seat and  a stroller(which the newborn car seat clicks into) and a cot on lay-by, which he will pay off within a couple months. The cot is really cool actually it has the bassinet height for newborns, it lowers down for when the baby is older plus you can take the sides off to make a single bed aaaaaaaaaaaand it had $200 off. Rex also brought some sheet sets and blankets.

I'm going for a soak in the tub while Rex finds something to make for dinner.
