(Fluff)

On the surface, I grew up in a very warm climate. Everyday and every season felt like summer, it only ever snowed a little, if any. Winter wasn't anything to me. But now I'm in Snowdin, in my house, wrapped up in jogging pants, a sweater, three blankets, a fire in the fireplace, and I think I'm still gonna get frostbite. I can't believe Gaster made me move here. At first I was ecstatic to live together! So of course I agreed to move from my apartment in the MTT Resort, in the lava-filled Hotlands, to go live with Gaster in his home in Snowdin. I had only been through Snowdin a few times so I hadn't exactly remembered how cold it was. But now, I'm freezing my ass off. Gaster was at work, in Hotlands, lucky bastard.

I hummed to myself as I shivered and tried to focus on Mettaton, who was dancing in the TV screen. I felt my phone buzz. I looked down and saw Gaster was calling, I picked it up and I smiled some, "Hey." I said, wincing at the cold metal against my face. "Hello (Y/N)! I just wanted to let you know that I'm on my way home." He said happily and I smiled, "Awesome!" Finally, someone to suffer in the cold with me!

I waited a while until he returned, I stayed wrapped up in my bundle of clothes until he showed up and let himself in. "Hello (Y-" He froze halfway through my name. "Yes Gaster?" He looked at he curiously. "Why are you, uhm. Wrapped in such excess clothing and blankets." I looked up at him as if the answer was obvious, "It's literally snowing outside. All the time. I'm freezing cold." His eyes widened some, "Oh!" He said, sounding surprised, "I didn't realize that humans were so sensitive to the cold or else I would of better accommodated it." He said apologetically. "No, don't worry about it. I'll live." "I don't know that for certain." He said and he then moved to sit by me. "As a man of science, I cannot simply take your word for it. And as your boyfriend I won't stand by to see what happens. You need appropriate warmth."

He sounded determined, I smiled at this. He took his turtleneck off and slipped it on me, he then held me against his bare ribs, which I had never seen until now. He wrapped me in one blanket and suddenly that was enough. I was warm. I sat on his lap, unable to understand how he warmed me so easily. I glanced down for a moment, his hands around my waist, a soft skeletal structure is holding me. I smile some as I notice he keeps up his nervous habits, playing with the tips of his fingers. I'm oddly proud that I still make him nervous. I lean back against him and feel the newly exposed bone against my back, "Aren't you cold now?" I pondered and he shook his head. "No, I'm a skeleton. My body doesn't work the same as yours, I'm not bothered or harmed by heat or coolness."

I'll never understand how it all works. I still don't understand his existence at all. I don't at all understand how he's even alive right now since he's just a skeleton and a SOUL. But I guess monsters and magic have their ways of doing the impossible. I smiled softly as the fire stopped being a source of warmth and became the star of a romantic atmosphere. I smiled at how beautiful it all is. The dim light, soft crackling, gentle warmth, I smiled as I leaned into my lover. "I love you Gaster. I don't mind living here, just as long as I can spend the snowy nights with you." He chuckled some, "I didn't know you were such a romantic." He commented and I shrugged, "I didn't know I was either. I suppose I just have my moments." I said as he pulled me even closer. I decided I would explore his ribs later, right now my eyes were dropping as the warm feeling took me over. It was nice. Everything felt warm and nice and his arms were secure around me, his body was a comfortable pillow, my eyes began to close. "Get some rest love, I love you." He says and I smile as my eyes closed. "I love you too." And soon enough the romantic and warm world around me, rocked me into a state of sleep.
