Jack's POV
The school dance was a week away and I couldn't help but notice the amount of girls that would stare at me, but turn away and blush when I looked in their direction.

Robert would try to make me feel better by saying that I could choose almost any girl I wanted and go with them but it didn't work. I couldn't do that to Mark.

Yes, I will admit some girls probably were really hot and if I was single I would go with them but I wasn't. That, and ever since I saw his hot Mark was none of the girls could match his sexiness. (*wiggles eyebrows*)

Then I saw Sofia walking my way holding a girls hand. She saw me and waved. I waved back and they came to say hi.

"No offense or anything, but are you two dating?" I asked, feeling bad about it but too curious to not know.

"Yup, we're true loves," the other girl said, who's name was Lilly, while giving Sofia a kiss on the cheek. I smiled and raised a brow at Sofia.

"Oh, yeah. This is the 'friend' that dared me to fake ask you out. She actually just wanted to see if you would ditch your boyfriend for a chick and not tell," she explained. I nodded feeling slightly hurt that anyone would think I would do that.

"Yeah, and you didn't. I look up to you for that. Half the guys around here would ditch their true loves for some hotter chick just like that," Lilly said. I nodded, now feeling disgusted anyone would do that.

"But I am curious, what are you gonna do about the dance?" Sofia asked. I shrugged.

"I don't know. Probably stay at home and write to Mark. He'll be in class but he still writes to me," I said, recalling all the times we talked together. The two girls let out a small squeal.

"That's so cute. You two are so perfect together," Lilly said happily. I smiled and thanked her as the bell rang.

Sofia had a class with me so we decided to walk together. That way hopefully no one will approach me but they probably know Sofia has a girlfriend... It seemed to work though.

We walked into class and sat in our seats. Sofia sat closer to the front because she was short sighted but I just stuck to the back.

I sat impatiently waiting for the teacher when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and looked up at the person that had gotten NY attention. (Cause 'the person who tapped me' sounds... Off)

It was a shortish girl with long wavy blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She had slightly pale skin and light pink lips. She was wearing a light blue shirt with a white cardigan and short denim jeans. This can't be good.

"Hey, I'm Beth. I was uh... Wondering if... You would go.... To the.... Dance with me?" She asked quietly. I gave her a sympathetic look.

"I would love to but I have.... Plans. I'm too busy to go to the dance. But I'm sure you'll find someone who's way better than a socially awkward man baby like me," I said making her giggle.

"Oh, that's okay. But I should probably warn you, there are a-" she began but I cut her off.

"A lot of girls wanting to go with me. I know. But I can't, I'm just too busy that's all" I said at a normal voice so any nearby girls could hear.

I noticed a lot of the girls, and even some guys, turn and look away. Some even started whispering things but I didn't care.

Hopefully they'll spread that I couldn't go to the dance and people would stop asking me... But that didn't happen.

~time skip to lunch time cause food is great~

I slumped onto the bench seat with a groan. Robert and Minx were the only ones there and looked at me when I made the sound.
