Merlin Junior's POV
"You need to concentrate," my father said to me. I looked over at him and my twin sister Amy. I nodded and tried again. I lifted the object up and smashed it against the ground.
"I knew you could do it," said my father.
"None of us are as powerful as you though. You could do that since you were born right," I said to him.
"Yes I could Merlin junior but you can do it now. You both can and it doesn't matter who is stronger. I want to teach you all to use your powers for good and to protect yourselves if you need to. Magic is a part of you but I don't want it to get to any of your heads. Amy you say you and Merlin Junior are more powerful then Anya and Percy and maybe you are but I don't want you showing of or rubbing it in their faces as that is not fair," he explained to us both.
"I understand father," smiled Amy.
"I'm glad. Why don't we go and get something to eat we have been at this for a while," my father said.
We both agreed before all three of us headed back towards the castle. "Father, I feel strange," I said to him.
"What do you mean son?" he asked.
"I think Adair feels like Luke, Matthew and Arthur are in trouble," I said to him.
"How do you know that?" he asked.
"I have this weird connection to Adair," he said.
"Alright do you know where Adair is?"
"In his room with Emily," I said to him.
"Come on then let's go," he said as we all walked into a fast run.
Luke's POV
"Let them go!" I shouted as I struggled against two strong men pulling my arms behind my back so I couldn't escape from them.
"Oh Lukey," he laughed.
"This is bull," but I didn't get to finish as one of the men pulled my arm to hard.
"Mind your language."
"I never wanted my family involved," I said to them.
"But you don't care about your family. You believe you can be king and the only way you can do that is coming to us," he said to me.
"I want to join, of course I do but my family has nothing to do with this," I said to him.
"But that is where you are wrong Lukey. They have something to do with this," he said.
"Matthew is likely to be king someday. I'm not like him. I'm not fit to be king," I said to them.
"Well the time we are done with you, you will be," he said to him.
"I wanted to join to get away from here," I said annoyed.
"I'm afraid, Lukey it's not as simple as that," he laughed evilly.
"Just let them go," I begged.
"You act like you don't care but you do care about them a lot. They are part of this challenge, Lukey. If you pass they can go free. I think it's fair," he said. I looked away from him. This is my fault. My dad and Matthew are in trouble because of me.
"If I fail?" I asked the dreaded question.
"Let's just say Camelot will be needing a new king," he laughed before he allowed the two men to drag me through the forest. I felt ill. I knew why. I had lost quite a bit of blood already from my side and if I kept it up like this with no treatment. I might even die before I have a chance to do this challenge.
Adair's POV
As if on cue my father, Merlin Junior and Amy came into my room. Emily was holding on to me as we both sat on the floor. I had fainted but Emily had been here. She had rushed over to help me.
"Adair what happened?" asked my father. I looked at him. This would be the first time I've seen him since my little disappearing act. He clearly cared about me deep inside I guess.
"I saw something," I said to him.
"What did you see?" he asked me as he kneeled down in front of my putting his hand on mine to comfort me. He hadn't done this in at least a year now and it felt sort of nice.
"I don't know how to explain this but I felt Matthew's horror and Arthur's concern," he said.
"What about Luke?"
"I don't know. I can't feel anything from him. I haven't been able to for quite a long time," he said to me.
"Don't worry we'll sort this out. Do you know where they are?"
"I think so," I said.
"We better go then. Emily, Merlin Junior and Amy stay here. Tell your mother Adair and I have had to go check on the king and his sons as they might be in danger. I would tell her myself but she is too angry at me at the moment. If I told her I'll never get to leave and defiantly not with Adair," he said before my father and I left my chamber.
I still wasn't on my father's side but I know Arthur, Matthew and Luke are in danger and I can't allow that to be put aside even if I'm angry with my father.
Morgana's POV
"I'm not sure about this," said Mordred.
"Neither am I but I'm sure we can do this," I said to him.
"Okey after three then," said Mordred.
"One, two, three," I said. We both lifted Darren out the lake as quickly as possible.
"Put it away!" someone shouted nearby but we ignored them as he put a towel around him.
"He is one little git," laughed Mordred.
"You could say that. I think I'll avoid this route next time. We better get going or your wife be wondering where we are," I laughed.
"Yeah she will be. Morgana about this plan?" he asked.
"What about it?"
"When are we going to begin?" asked Mordred.
"Not straight away. We need to plan this right. We have to do this right. I'm not going to fail again. I want my revenge and this time I will get it."
Arthur's POV
"What is going on?" asked Matthew beside me who was also tied to a tree.
"I don't know son," I said telling him the truth.
"We are here from bandits aren't we?" asked Matthew.
"I'm not sure. They seem too good for that," I said to him.
"Then who? What do they want? Who are they?"
"I don't know Matthew but don't worry. I'll find a way to get out of this and find Luke," I said to him.
"What if Luke is already..." he couldn't finish what he was about to say.
"I'm sure he is fine. Its Luke remember that," I smiled to him and he nodded.
