Helen’s POV

I didn’t know Merlin’s wife well. I hardly knew Merlin to be honest but I’m trying to do the best I can now I’m back in his life. I always blame myself for the mistakes or the horrible things that have happened but I need to stop doing that and just do my best and be here for my brother from now on. I feel like he is making a bad mistake but I want to stick by Merlin and he is old enough to make his own decisions.

I feel like Anna is not in her right mind. I don’t want to sound mean or anything to my brother but everything that has happened watching the village be destroyed has finally got to her. I know Merlin wants to make it all better and move his family back here but is that such a great idea? I mean his children may not even want to move. They are close friends with Luke and Matthew I gathered and this would really hurt them.

Merlin says he is putting his family first but all he is doing is putting his wife first and nothing else. Not his children’s feelings, not Arthur’s feelings and not his own. I know you shouldn’t always do what you want but what if what he wants is the right thing to do this time? It’s too late now though. He will return with his children if I like it or not.

“Helen,” I heard someone whisper. I turned around to find Anna sitting up in bed.

“You should rest,” I insisted as I rushed forward.

“Where is Merlin?” she asked me.

“He is back in Camelot. He has gone to get your children before coming back here. You are all moving back here in the village like you always wanted,” I said to her. She looked at me oddly. Is something wrong? Is it not processing in her head?

“Why would he do that?” she asked me.

“Why wouldn’t he?” I asked her.

“Merlin loves Camelot,” she said to me.

“Yeah but he loves you and his children more,” I said with a sigh.

“Why now though?” she asked me.

“I think he has had enough of it all. He said it was time he put his family first before himself.”

“I was being so hard on him. Watching this village get destroyed really did kill me but I didn’t want him to think we had to move back here. I was just angry,” said Anna looking at me sadly.

“You really do want to move back here though?”

“I might do but I know this isn’t really our home anymore. I want to help build it back up. Make sure the dragons are alright but I will want to return to Camelot because that is where Merlin should be and my children will hate me if I drag them away from Camelot. They probably have found a home in Camelot, they all have,” said Anna.

“Have you?”

“Yeah maybe, I do miss it,” she smiled at me.

Mary’s POV

How had Matthew found out? No one knows. The only person who does know is Jim who told me I’m pregnant...had Matthew been asking about me to him or had Jim slipped up? Either way I’m going to be having a word with him.

“Matthew you must understand,” I began.

“I understand. You were scared to tell me. I’m even a little bit scared about this. We are just sixteen. If my father was to find out I’ve had sex and made you pregnant he may hate me or feel so disappointed. I don’t want my dad to look at me like that but we both have to face up to the truth,” said Matthew as he took my hand and brought me into a warm embrace.

“I know. I’m sorry. I didn’t even know where to begin to tell you,” I said telling him the truth. It does feel good Matthew knowing now though. Maybe this won’t be as hard anymore.

Adair’s POV

I knocked on my father’s door and waited for a response. “Come in,” called my dad. I walked into the chamber and over to the desk where Merlin sat.

“When were you going to tell us we are going back to the village?” I asked him getting straight to the point.

“How do you even know that?” he asked me.

“Well Emily heard you and Arthur arguing. None of us want to go back. Percy really believes Camelot is our home now and so do I. I haven’t discussed it with Anya, Amy or Merlin Junior but I bet they will agree with me too. We don’t want to go back to village this is our home.  Why would you go back now anyway,” I said to him.

“Your mother wants too.”

“Can’t you confidence her not too? I mean this is our home. You know that right? Percy said today is the best day of his life. He had so much fun and he has recovered so much. Maybe if mum could see how happy we are she might be happy too,” I said to him.

“It’s not as simple as that,” said my dad.

“I’m not going to leave. I’m staying here. This is our home and I don’t want to go and leave this all behind. I will miss Matthew and Luke too much and even Arthur, Jim and Gwen too,” I said to him quietly.

“It is my decision and if I say we are going back to village we are going back.” I looked at my father and sighed. I shook my head before I left the chamber not knowing what to do or what to think.

Zana’s POV

“Why don’t you just leave,” I said annoyed.

“We had a bargain,” he hissed at me from the shadows.

“No we did not! You forced me to do that when I was younger. I have a new husband, a lovely daughter and a lovely home. I don’t need your stupid money anymore!” I shouted at him.

“You will regret this,” he hissed at me again.

“I don’t think I will. Now leave before I use my magic,” I said harshly.

“We will meet again Zana and mark my words you will regret not accepting this,” he said before he completely vanished.
