Arthur's POV
"Will he be okey?" I asked as Jim came out of the chamber Percy was being kept in as his chamber was pretty much burnt down.
"He should be okey but it was lucky Amy called us when she did. I've gave him something to settle his fever and get someone to bring him some soup I believe it will help settle his stomach," Jim said before he walked away.
I sighed. I'm glad Percy is going to be okey. I wonder why Adair isn't back yet. He must be finding this really hard I suppose. "Hey honey you okey?" asked Gwen as she came towards me.
"I've been better," I said to her as I brought her into a hug and kissed her on the lips.
"Don't worry things will look up soon we just need to have a little bit of faith," smiled Gwen which made me grin. Gwen could always make me feel better. That is just one of the many reasons why I married her.
"Arthur you do know that Adair is the oldest right?" she asked me.
"Yeah what about it though?" I asked her.
"I don't know how to confess this to you but it's likely Adair went after Merlin and his mother," said Gwen.
"What... how do you know that?" I asked her.
"It would be what I would do and the same with you. It's too late to stop him now," said Gwen. I looked at her weirdly. "Alright so I may have seen him and Emily leaving but I thought Merlin could do with a little bit more help," Gwen said softly.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked her.
"I'm sorry but I thought you would try and stop him," said Gwen.
"You're probably right," I said to her and she smiled.
Merlin's POV
"Anna please don't!" I begged her as I tried to pull her back from the flames destroying our old home, our beautiful hut.
"This is your fault!" she screamed at me as I kept her away from the flames.
"I'm sorry I really am," I said to her feeling myself holding back tears.
"Look what has happened. Our home is destroyed," said Anna as she seemed to give up and collapsed to the floor. I looked around finding a lot of things destroyed, on fire or villages running for their lives. The dragons flew above looking confused or sad. She is right. I did this, it's all my fault and no one else's.
"Merlin come quick I know who attacked the village and they are still here," said Helen.
"Who?" I asked her.
"It's Darken...the man who threatened your life before and more importantly known as King Cenred's right hand man," said Helen.
"You mean the person you had to marry was Cenred?" I asked shocked.
"Yes but I believed Darken to be dead...just like Cenred is but I guess I was wrong. I'm so sorry Merlin," said Helen.
"This isn't your fault. You keep a close eye on Anna and don't let her get hurt. I'll put a stop to all of this right now," I said as I left my sister with my wife and headed towards where Helen had pointed to before. If it came to it I would summon the Great Dragon for help.
Adair's POV
"I can't believe it," I said feeling myself wanting to cry.
"Don't worry we'll stop who is attacking and we can rebuild it," Emily smiled at me happily. I looked at her and sighed.
"It's not as simple as that Emily why do you always think its good," I said annoyed.
"Adair I know your upset," she began going to take my hand but I pulled away, "Please don't," I said to her harshly.
"I'm going to go help," said Emily looking hurt and I watched her walk away but I spotted a strange man walking through the village and at first I thought nothing until I saw him use his magic to set fire to another thing. "Emily!" I shouted but I was too late as the man grabbed Emily and began to drag her away.
I chased after him as quickly as possible. "Let her go!" I shouted at him as I caught up to him. He stopped turning towards me.
"Why would I do that kid!" he shouted rudely at me.
"I can stop you," I said to him as I looked at Emily and trying to say sorry without words.
"How can you do that," he giggled.
"If you hurt Emily you will regret it I promise you that," I said to him.
"Adair get away from him!" shouted my father who came into view from behind the man.
"You're his son," he looked at me evilly. I didn't know what to do but I shouted a spell which forced the man backwards and I grabbed Emily into a hug before I pushed her behind me as the man got up as my father came running towards us. The man shouted a spell which made me fall to the ground and I couldn't move.
"Hey leave him alone. This is between you and me," said my father as he stopped near us.
"Why should I stop? I could have killed you all those years ago but I didn't but since really considering Cenred is dead and he isn't married to Helen anymore our bargain is over so I'm going to kill you now," he laughed.
"Why did you destroy this village?" asked my father.
"To bring you back why else you idiot," he said annoyed. I thought as hard as I could and I somehow managed to break the spell he had on me. I got to my feet and shouted a spell making the man be forced backwards hitting into a fence moaning out in pain.
"Adair no wait!" shouted my father but it was too late I had already said the spell and I watched as my magic killed him. My father and Emily looked at me. What have I just done? I killed a man in cold blood. I collapsed to the floor beginning to cry...I just killed someone.
