Lullabies (An All Time Low fanfic)

Chapter 6

Alex's POV

"Flight 410 to Baltimore, Maryland, board now." I looked over at Emma, who was still asleep.

"Emma, it's time to wake up. We need to get on the plane." I shook her gently. She opened her eyes slightly and sighed.

"Go away, Alex." She said, her voice full of sleep.

"If I did, I would leave you here. Now, come on so we don't miss our flight. Jack would be pissed if we missed our flight." She opened her eyes and stood up.

"Last call for flight 410 to Baltimore, Maryland." We ran to the boarding tunnel and handed the lady our tickets before walking through the tunnel.

I heard Jack's voice boom through the tunnel.

"Finally going home. Everyone say hi to Alex." He pointed his phone to me, making sure that Emma wasn't in view of the shot. We didn't want everyone to know just yet. I waved.

"Hey everyone." Jack turned the phone back to him and finished the video just as we bored the plane.

We found our seats and sat down and listened to the flight attendant as she read her lines as she has many of times. When she finished and we buckled up and waited for take off. Emma pulled her i-Pod out and put her ear buds in and hit play and looked out the window. I smiled and took my phone out and looked through my Twitter feed.

Somewhere along the way, I felt something hit my shoulder. I looked down and saw Emma asleep. I chuckled and went back to my phone.

Before I knew it, I heard the pilot announce that we were about to land in Balitmore.

"Em, it's time to wake up. We're about to land." She sighed and opened her eyes and looked out the window. I saw a smile on her face. I leaned up next her.

"Welcome home, Emma." She looked at me and smiled even bigger. She looked back out the window.

"Home." She whispered. It was my turn to smile. I looked at Jack.

"Zack and Rian already at the air port?" He shrugged.

"We'll find out when we get there." I shook my head.

Once we landed and got off the plane, we went to the baggage claim and waited for our bags. I started humming 'Do You Want Me (Dead)?'. I think that did the trick because our bags got there before I got to the second verse.

When we got our bags, we started walking to 'Arrives' to see if Rian and Zack were there. Luck was on our side because they were, smiling.

"Looks like we got lucky." I hugged the guys and smiled down at Emma.

"Emma, this is Rian and Zack." I told her, gesturing to the rest of my band mates. She gave them a shy smile and wave.

"Nice to meet you guys." We all chuckled and she let out a small yawn.

"Okay, let's get you guys home so Emma can go to sleep." Rian said, taking her bags from her.

"Oh shit, I forgot. Emma do you have a hoodie with you that you can just dig out without making a mess?" I asked. I totally forgot about it being cold at home. She nodded and pulled a hoodie out of one of the bags Rian was holding. She quickly put it on and continued to walk as if it was just something she always did.

When we got to the car, she almost ran into the door trying to get in.

"Whoa, hold on." She looked like she would kill me if I told her to wait another second.

"Open the car. Now." I did as she said, not wanting to make her mad. She climbed in the car and sat in the middle.

"Hurry up, please." She whined. I had to admit it was cold. Rian turned the car on and turned the heater all the way up. I chuckled at her.

Once we got everything in order, we started driving to the house, Emma grin getting bigger and bigger every time Jack would say that we're close. I'm so glad to call her my daughter.
