"Hey, Pidgeon, you remember that one park where we went where you could ride the bikes?"

They paused, before looking up at him. "Yeah. It's Gretch's park, why?"

"Let's go there today. Everyone. The whole gang."

"Is this the first day of your 14 Day Countdown™?"

"What? How did you figure out about that?!"

"Dude, you left it in your notes. You know I hack your phone every so often."

"You didn't te-"

"No, I didn't tell Keith. If I wasn't aromantic, I would've said it was a cute idea. But, romance irks me, and I lack the attraction, so I won't."

"...thanks?"

"Yes. It was an indirect compliment. Simplification: Good idea. We're in. Especially Paintball. We're gonna kick your asses. I've already picked teams."

"Okay. Well is everyone else free?"

"I've already had a briefing with everyone, and they've all cleared their schedules for the next two weeks."

"Thanks, pal."

"Yep." Pidge turned the piece of tech-Lance preferred to call it junk-in their hand before setting it down, looking up at him. "So when are we going?"

"I'm about to call Keith right now, so could you round up everyone?"

"Will do." Pidge hummed, walking into their room to get their phone.

...

...

...

"Hello?"

"Hey. Babe! I was wondering if you wanted to go to the park? We're all going. It's a park where you can rent bikes, and you can race them, and I really wanna take you there! Shiro and Allura too. I'm driving Hunk and Pidge."

Keith laughed on the other line. "Sure. I'm out shopping with Shiro. Can't leave the kids alone, you know? Six is a mischievous age."

Lance was sure he'd heard Shiro say something in protest before Keith started laughing again. "Yeah, yeah, I'll have Shiro drive us. Which park is it?"

"Gretch's. Shiro will know."

"Will do, boyfriend."

"I'll see you later, then."

"Love you."

"Love you more."

"Impossible."

Lance heard the beep tone, and smiled.

He never hung up first.

He heard Pidge call "It's a go!" from their room while Matt shuffled down the stairs.

"Huh? Oh, hey asshole." The older Holt greeted, scratching his stomach.

"'Sup, trash." Lance greeted, tossing some Cheez-its in his mouth.

"Why are you up? It's like, early in the morning on a Saturday. Why do that to yourself, dude?"

"It's noon, bro."

"My point still stands."

"I got a hot date, my guy."

"Hot dates." Pidge corrected, striking a pose.
