Haha whoops I'm sorry
-------------------------
The grass kissed his ankles.
He stared at the trees, the sunlight splicing the leaves as they bobbed in the wind.
His pants were rolled up to his knees.
Something was missing, wasn't it?

There were flowers, too.
Small flowers brushed his toes. He held a bucket of them.

It was quiet.
There was not even the sound of the wind blowing through his hair and the trees.
He felt a sudden jolt.
A feeling in him, a command rising from his stomach with such urgency.

Turn around.

The boy.
With eyes of the ocean.
The name he had been given...
He was meant to love this boy. Love the ocean.
The boy waved his arms, a smile with the shine akin to the sun across his face.
He felt a sudden heaviness in his chest, a dragging feeling...Longing?
The boy opened his mouth to speak.
He made no noise.
He narrowed his eyes at the boy. He was saying something. What was it?

He squinted, moving towards him.
The boy was speaking something. What was he saying?
He began to panic.
He couldn't hear the boy.
He got farther and farther away, even though he was now in a full sprint towards him.

The heavy feeling dragged him down.
Suddenly the boy looked apologetic.
Sorry. He mouthed.
Sorry? What was he sorry for?
Then suddenly, his feet broke the grass and he fell into the ground; into the water beneath it.
He was drowning.
