"Hey guys?" I asked in a singsong voice and jogged a bit to keep up with them.
"Yeah?" They replied in synchronism. Weird.
"Can we go see a movie?" I asked sweetly, hooking my arms through Nico and Jax's and skipping through the mall.
"No." They said in unison.
It sounded creepy.
Clearly they hadn't picked up on the fact that when I wanted something, I got it.
"Aww, c'mon, pleeeeaaasseee?" I brought out the puppy dog eyes.
"Yes."
"No."
Jax knew what I was up to. He didn't like it.
He and Nico hadn't been getting along very well and I was fed up with it.
It had been a few weeks since the accident with my mom and she had finally come back yesterday. We found out that she had gotten lost while looking for me and saw the testing area. She had wandered onto the grounds hoping for directions when a radioactive blast hit and knocked her unconscious.
Aside from a few cuts and bruises, she was okay. She had gone home that afternoon.
I steered us in the direction of the movie theatre.
Jax was wearing loose jeans and a hoodie that said I'm not arguing, I'm just proving why I'm right. It was light grey with white print.
"We have to stay strong with her Soldier Boy, make a decision and stand by it." Jackson lectured.
Nico was wearing black track pants and a camo green under armour T-shirt. Jax had called him Soldier Boy because it made him look like one. Still sexy as always.
I flipped my hoodie down. "You're no fun Jax, I'm starting to think Nico has more inner child then you!" I was trying to peer pressure Jax into the movie, but I swear I'll pay.
Jax set his jaw and unhooked his arm from mine.
Nico watched him go. "Give him some time, he may be gay but he still doesn't like my influence over you. He's pretty cool, but you just hurt him. Wait a few hours and then apologize." Nico suggested.
I sighed. "I didn't mean to hurt his feelings, I just wanted to show him that he wasn't being very enjoyable, that's all."
The mall was busy as always, I couldn't see Jackson anymore. I hope he'll be okay.
Since we had a few hours to blow off, we decided to watch a movie.
Turning into the Cinema department, I got my wallet out to pay.
Nico discreetly pulled my hand out of my purse and swiped his credit card before I could protest. I'll have to pay him back later.
We had payed to watch Doctor Strange. We purchased popcorn and slushies, this time I emerged victorious because I payed first.
Nico was clearly not too happy about this, but I assured him it was fine.
"But the guy has to pay for the date!" He whined. "Don't make me feel bad about this, it's our first date let me pay!"
"But I want to pay." I protested.
He sighed. "Fine, but I get to pay next time."
"Okay with me so long as you get me cupcakes after." I compromised.
"You got it." He winked at me, making me blush.
