"I got you, okay?" He whispered.
"Okay" she whispered back. That then was the realisation they had been waiting for. The realisation that they both cared too much for each other to tell their stories.
"Shall we order some pizza then?" Tony asked at the doorway, holding up £50. Y/n smiled and nodded. The others came in and sat in a place where they could see the TV. Y/n and Chris stayed apart, no one sat in between them on the sofa. They others sensed the tension between Chris and y/n. Y/n and Chris didn't look at each other once while they waited for the pizza, they stared forward. Y/n was thinking about all the times Chris was there for her and she didn't have the courage to tell what was going on. Chris was thinking about his feelings for y/n, at how fast your feelings can change once you know something, but he knew that had always been there. One thing everyone in the room was thinking was, what's going to happen now? The doorbell rang and y/n didn't make a move to get the door so Michelle did, tutting as she did so.
When she returned, she juggling 7 pizzas. "Don't help me" she huffed, they ignored her. She looked to see what was on them and dropped them on each persons lap. "Didn't you get one Cassie?" Michelle asked.
"Here you can share mine" y/n said, moving closer to Chris so Cassie could sit in the sofa.
"Oh wow, thanks y/n" she said, sitting down and taking the smallest slice of pizza out of the box. Y/n always offered Cassie her food because she had discovered that's when Cassie ate. When people offered it to her. Cassie only took food off y/n though, because she never felt pressured into eating. Chris watched while Cassie ate her pizza without putting it down. He looked to y/n who was the one eating slowly, not Cassie.
"Aren't you hungry?" Chris asked y/n.
"You can have a slice if you want, Chris" she offered, thinking he just wanted a slice of her pizza.
"No it's alright" he looked back to his pizza and then to the others, who were making a similar face to Chris. They were confused and surprised, even Jal was.

"We're gonna head off too" Michelle said, nudging Tony. Everyone else had to get home, everyone apart from Chris.
"Oh right, okay... we'll I'll see you tomorrow?" Y/n asked, unsure.
"Yeah" Jal smiled, hugging her. Michelle hugged y/n too, to y/n's surprise. Tony just smirked at her, Sid and Maxxie smiled.
The last to walk out the door was Cassie, smiling she said, "thanks, see you later"
Y/n grabbed her arm before she went out the door, "I have some pizza left over... if you want some?"
"No thank you, I'm all full" Cassie smiled, normally the others would push her to take it, but y/n didn't. She was impressed at how much Cassie had already ate, more than y/n managed. Y/n waved to them as she watched them walk down the street. When she shut the door and turned around she jumped back as Chris was standing there.
"Jesus Chris" y/n held her hand over her heart again, walking around him to get to he kitchen she asked, "do you want a beer or something?" Y/n reached into the fridge and took out two, "they're my dads but I can replace them tomorrow before he gets back" y/n explained while handing one to Chris once she opened it.
"Is that why you don't drink that much? Because of your dad" Chris said, jumping right into the questions.
"No I just- don't like drinking that much... I've seen what it does" y/n said, taking a swig of beer.
"What do you mean?"
"My dad...." she trailed off, she didn't know how to explain it, "he's not an alcoholic, if that's what your thinking but he does come home at about 9 in the morning" she laughed it off. Chris smiled a little, taking a drink out of the beer bottle, "tomorrow he'll be back at 9 so I'll have plenty of time to get some more" y/n held up her beer bottle and then took another drink from it.
"What about your mum?" Chris asked.
"Erh maybe about midnight?" She guessed. "Chris..." she said after a moment of watching him. He looked up, "you can stay for a bit if you want" she offered, "we have to finish all these pizzas anyway" she laughed.
"Yeah!" He said, enthusiastically. He walked around to the cupboards and opened them.
"What are you looking for?" She asked.
He lifted up a bottle of vodka, "shots!" He grinned.
Y/n laughed, "no Chris." But took the bottle off him after he took a swig from it and took one herself. "No smoking though Chris, okay?" She said seriously.
"Yeah, okay" he said, completely understanding.

They sat on the sofa, three bottles of beer with the vodka bottle half empty, watching an Adam Sandler movie. "Y/n" Chris began, dragging out her name, flopping his head to the side to see her face.
"Yes Chris" she said, turning her head.
"I'm fucked up"
"No your not"
"I am! My parents abandoned me and I'm probably going to get kicked out of college" Chris argued, y/n thought this might come up once Chris got a couple drinks down him. He took a big swig from the vodka bottle and handed it to y/n, she was going to decline but took it anyway.
"That's their loss Chris" she said. "Plus you have us, we'll look after you" y/n added.
"I have you" he whispered, smiling. He wanted to have her forever, but not as a friend.

"Yes, Chris" y/n said, handing the bottle back to him

"Yes, Chris" y/n said, handing the bottle back to him. Chris put the bottle on the table with his beer bottle, then turned to y/n properly. Y/n's attention was back on the TV screen. Chris leaned over her to take the bottle out of her hand and put it on the table, y/n looked to Chris, rolling her eyes a little. Sometimes he acted like a child when he wanted your attention. "Yes Chris?" Y/n asked. He didn't say anything and y/n laughed a little, turning her head back to watch the TV.
Chris tutted, mentally face palming and mumbled in annoyance, "fuck it" and cupped her face and pulled her into a kiss. Y/n didn't push away, she pulled him closer and closer. They both wanted it.
But y/n pushed him away and said "no, Chris." She got up and walked to the kitchen, away from Chris, she knew he was going to ask 'why not' and she couldn't think of a valid reason. All her reasons were stupid.
Chris got up and followed, nearly knocking off the empty bottles of beer. "Why not?" He asked softly as he kept his distance from her.
"Because" she turned around abruptly ready to make her argument but nothing came to her head. "I don't know, Chris.... our friendship?" She offered, hoping he would offer some kind of argument.
"What about it?"
"It will be....." she trailed off, getting annoyed with herself. She tutted, and mentally face palmed and just like Chris done she huffed and said "fuck it."
