Draco walked slowly up to the doors of Hogwarts, nervously straightening his dress-robes.

He slipped unnoticed into the entrance hall and glanced around at the chattering witches and wizards.

'Potters! Weasleys!' A man shouted, barrelling into the Great Hall. 'You need to see this!'

Draco wandered over to where the man had been. A giant poster was pinned up.

'You going to sign up?'

Draco whirled around.

'Wow,' he breathed.

Hermione looked stunning. Her hair was twisted into an elegant updo, accentuating her long neck. Shimmering gold eyeshadow made her eyes shine, and her soft lips were an entrancing dark red.

The turquoise dress fell in waves of chiffon from one shoulder, contrasting with the mocha of her skin. Gold bangles sparkled on her slim wrists, clinking quietly as she clutched her handbag.

'Looking to get your ass kicked by Gryffindor again?'

'Only if you can keep up, old man,' Draco sneered at Harry, tearing his eyes away from Hermione.

'We're the same age, Malfoy.'

'I wear it better,' Draco shrugged and signed up for the Slytherin team with a flourish.

Harry bumped him aside and signed his name for the Gryffindor team, before handing the quill to his wife. Ginny grinned and added her name to the list, eager to play again after she retired from the Holyhead Harpies a few years earlier. Ginny looked lovely in a lilac cocktail dress, her red hair in soft ringlets.

'Are you going to play, George?' Ginny asked her brother, gently.

'No, I don't think so. Wouldn't feel right, by myself.' George sighed and his wife leaned her head on his shoulder. 'You'll play, though, won't you Angelina?'

'Course!' Angelina signed her name under Ginny and Harry's. 'Can't wait for Wood's pep talk on this one.'

'Merlin, it'll be insufferable,' George teased, pulling faces at the man from earlier.

'This is going to be our best team yet!' Oliver Wood crowed. 'Unless...you'll be our captain, Charlie?'

'Nah, think I'm a bit old, mate,' Charlie Weasley laughed. 'Besides, my place was taken by the youngest seeker in a century!'

'You can play!' Harry protested, but Charlie waved him away, chortling.

Laughing and joking, the Gryffindors entered the Great Hall. Draco stood forgotten in the suddenly quiet entrance hall.

'This was a mistake,' he muttered and hurried across the hall to the exit.

'You're leaving?' Hermione's quiet voice was sad.

'Just...going for a walk. Clear my head.'

'Oh, ok.'

'Want to come?' Draco asked, timidly.
