Later that day, Lucas and I went out of campus for a snack. Guess who we met on the streets, a little distance away from the university.

She was walking towards us, laughing and discussing with another classmate of ours.

"Uh, oh." Lucas mumbled.

I walked up to her and stood in their way. She stared at me confused, she tried to go right, I blocked her, she tried left, I blocked her.

"Uh, do I know you? You're in my way." she frowned, folding her arms.
I laughed, sarcastically.

"Oh, so you don't remember me?"

"No."

"I'm the ghetto bitch. Remember?"

Her eyes widened and she turned to the boy by her and grabbed his hand.

"Let's go." she tried to pull him along but I blocked her again.

"No, no, no, girl. You're not going nowhere."

I felt Lucas come up behind me and whisper,

"Hon, you wouldn't want to get in trouble. Ignore and let's go."

"No, Lucas. We're out of campus and this coward will regret the day she was born!" I tried to launch at her but Lucas grabbed me from behind, stopping me. The girl stepped back afraid while her friend stared in confusion.

"Lucas, please let me go." I mumbled, annoyed. I tried to kick my way out of his grip but to my greatest surprise, he held me in place, his arms firm around my waist, making me realise that Lucas was stronger than I thought.

"Hey, you." he called the girl who looked up at him, "Apologize to her if you don't wanna end up with no brows."

I was angry but his statement caught me by surprise and I found myself giggling. I looked up at him behind me. He was much taller than me. He smirked a little.

The girl stepped forward.

"L– look, I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean to. Please. I was caught up in the fun and actually, it was a dare given to me. I intended no harm." she explained, nervously.

"A dare? From who??" I asked.

"From that girl named Bella. She was seated not far from me that day. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I'm really sorry."

I looked up at Lucas behind me.

"Did you hear that? Bella."

"Let it go. You got physical with Brianna. Avoid committing the same mistake with Bella."

I thought. He was right. I looked at the girl.

"Fine. Your apology is accepted. Get out of ma face before I change ma mind."

The girl did just that, holding her friend's hand and walking away.
Lucas let me go.

"Now you're free." he mused.

I raised a brow at him.

"Boy, how strong is you??" I joked in a heavy ghetto accent. He chuckled.
"I'm serious. The way you held me in place surprised me! There are things you're not telling, honey."

"What can I say? I'm not mike Tyson or John Cena, I'm just strong enough to pin you down." he smiled innocently. Goosebumps covered my skin and I didn't know why.

"There was something really dirty about that sentence, Lucas." I mused, raising a sarcastic brow and folding my arms.

He reddened a little, a smile still on his lips.

"Sorry. I meant to say I'm strong enough to stop you from fighting. Now I sound stupid." he laughed nervously, running his fingers through his silky hair.

"No you don't. Common let's go."

We went to a snack where we sat down, ate and chatted.

"What's your boyfriend's name?" Lucas asked me.

"King."

"Hm! King. That's his real name?"

"Yup. Surprising?"

"Not really. You got a pic of him?"

I took my phone out and showed him a pic. Lucas was silent for sometime. I laughed a little.

"What? He's ugly? People think that most of the time but I love him just the way he is."

"I didn't say he was ugly. I just find him a lil too old for you."

"Yes, cuz he actually is but that's none of your business, is it?"

"Yeah."

"And you? I know your single but at least have you ever dated? Cuz you seem really shy when it comes to girls." I giggled.

"Are you kidding? Of course I've dated. But none of my relationships worked out. I always get heartbroken."

"Oh. Aaw. Who would dare break your heart??" I playfully pulled his cheek. He smiled.

"Apparently all my exes did."

"Why??"

It was kinda unbelievable. Lucas was a darling.

"For the same reason. I was too good for them. In other words, they preferred to have a bad boy as boyfriend. Most girls these days do."

"They all broke up with you?"

"I broke up with them before it was too late. Why stay with someone who doesn't share the same feelings as you?" he seemed so serious as he said this. I began to feel bad for him.

"Even your last girlfriend?"

"No. I broke up with her because she was too crazy for me."

I laughed a little.

"I'm crazy. Yet we're friends."

"You're crazy in a good funny way." he smiled at me and I laughed.
"My last relationship was a contrast. I didn't love her that much. But she really appreciated me."

"Oh, you still speak with her? You still see her from time to time."

"Yeah." he stared at me, "Everyday."

I frowned confused.

"Everyday?"

"Yup. Brianna."

I almost choked on my food.

"Brianna is your ex??"

"Yeah. Crazy."

"Like da hell?? How did you end up with a girl like her??"

"It's my fault." he stared at me, "I fall in love easily. With the wrong people. Always."

Now I really felt bad for him.

"Oh. Sorry for that. Did she appreciate you breaking up with her??"

"Not at all. She spread false rumours about me in our highschool at the time and made life hard for me in school. She always tried to make me jealous and most of the time, she succeeded. She would kiss other guys in front of me. But that's okay. Now I don't give a fuck about her."

"That's great. Now that I know what she did to you, I'll not spare her when I get the opportunity." I winked at him and he chuckled.

"I'd be glad. The bitch needs taming." he replied and we both laughed.
