Have you ever come across a fan fiction where the OC or y/n gets to join the avengers so fucking damn easy? Oh you have superpowers? Join the Avengers! You brave and strong? Join the Avengers! Are you emo and depressed? Join the Avengers! Like damn, if it's that easy, I'm probably an Avenger by now.
For example,
"Hi, I'm Wanda Maximoff. Don't be afraid of me, I'm one of you and that's why I'm here to help you. Come join the Avengers."
or
"Oh, what a shame that your parents got killed by HYDRA, (or killed by something) do you want revenge or save other people's lives rather than saving yourself (or any family member/friend) ? Are you willing to save your teammates even though you don't know them really well? Come join the Avengers! Where all of us are mentally broken, sad, and had a dark past! Oh and by the way, most of us have dead loved ones!
