(Y/n)'s POV
I sat at a very secluded area of the school library, during lunch, wanting to try and finish off an amazing love story that I started a week ago, I just couldn't get enough. I opened up to the page I stopped at and was about to begin until I hear one of the seats being moved away from my table area and a presence that sat down, I looked over my thick book to see (c/n) sitting there looking at me with a cute/stupid smile grace his lips. "Hello (y/n)!" "Hey." "What're you reading?" "None of your business." "Sounds intellectual." I rolled my eyes at the comment and once again looked at the pages of the book I currently loved. I hear shuffling in the background, but decide to ignore it until my book was suddenly taken away, "Hey!" I whisper scream as I try to retrieve it, "Hmmm, interesting book choice (y/n).", I blush lightly and pout at the fact that he started skimming through the pages I had previously read.
"Those eyes, they shine like the billions of stars above, I could get lost in them forever, but a fact rushed through my mind, he couldn't be mine. Kate, his now girlfriend, was smart, kind, helpful and overall an amazing person to be with, something even I couldn't deny, she was the best person for him to be with and everyone knew it, it did hurt but now I'm getting a bit use to it, but I'm still in pain. His smile haunts me in my dreams, because it's a thing I can't run from, it's the inevitable end, where I want to get closer and closer but just can't, because of the many miles put between us.", I heard (c/n)'s recite. "Can I have my book back please", I stood behind his chair and lifted my book away from his hands, but he then grabbed one of my wrists. "You know, (y/n) I've never asked, but do you have a crush?" I blushed a million shades of red at the question, but hit his head gently and laughed lightly, "What makes you think that?" "That fact that you read this type of book." "So? Can't I just read?" "Sure, but- never mind, I'm going to the cafeteria now, I'll see you around (y/n)." I saw him walk away, a bit saddened, at least I thought, but then, "What about you (c/n)?", he turned around, "Huh?" "Do you have a specific girl in mind?" "Actually I do, but she may be to smart for me." "Oh really? Aren't you smart enough?" "Sure, in my own ways, but her smartness is different from mine." He chuckled and walked back to me leaning on the chair he once sat at. "I'm pretty sure being a sweet person would change her mind." "Yeah? How would you know?" "Girl instincts." "Really now? Do all girls share that secret?" "Sure, all of us do." He walked around me and rested his head on mine with his hands covering my eyes and whispering, "Then can you tell what I'm about to do?" "Maybe but my calculations may be wrong." "(Y/n)......I think you're smart enough to know." He gently turned my face toward his and pressed a small kiss to my lips, "Were you right?", he asked staying close to my lips, "Yes, but can you show me the answer again?" "I like you so much, (y/n)." "Me too (c/n)." The both of us locked lips once more, but longer, and held each other till the bell rang.
