Max and Me

The five of us then spent the day at the park. Sam flew around the sky as we laid on a blanket. When we were done we went our separate ways. Max walked me home. We stand at the end of my drive way.

"Good night." Max says as he kisses me.

"I love you." I say. Our foreheads resting on each other.

"I love you too." he breathes. We kiss again. Somethings different this time. I taste the day's sweat on his lips. It makes me want to drink it by the gallon. He pulls himself away from me. Our heads still resting on each other. "I...I should..."

"Yea..." I pant, taking in the breath I missed when we kissed. He pulls me back against himself. He kisses me. We slam into the side of my dad's car.

We ended up in my bedroom. I felt his arms lift me as we appeared on my bed. He pushes me into the mattress as he kisses me. I feel his hand wandering down my upper body. His hand lands on my hip. I run my fingers through your hair. I pull him closer to me craving his taste. His hands slide up under my shirt. The feeling of his warm soft hands on my skin made me crave him even more. He pulled his shirt off in one quick pull. I think we should stop. We stayed like that for a while. Quietly kissing, panting. He slides my shirt up to my bra where I grab his hand and pull my lips away from his.

He takes the hint and sat back on his feet. Every part in my body wants to tell him to come back and kiss me. I need him to go. We can't do this. Not now. He sees the look in my eyes and nods. Knowing that if he spoke it would break me. With a swirl of blue he vanishes. I run out to the balcony and leap into the air. Gods I love him.

The wind blows through my feathers and hair. I want him. Just to lay with him and fall asleep. Without thinking I land in front of Max's house. The sun is down but it's not late. I am about to knock on his door when I turn and go to hover next to his window. One light tap and the window opens.

"Can we just cuddle. Can you just hold me." I ask him.

"Of course." he grabs a blanket and climbs up the side of his house. He lays the blanket on the roof and we lay together looking at the stars. I eventually fall asleep to the beating of his heart.

The morning birds chirped and sun rose and I wake up with Max looking at me smiling. I rubbed my eyes and stretched. I smiled kissing him.

"This is the best way to wake up." Max smiled. we sat on the roof of his house. Moments like this make me want to stop time and sit for hours.

I finally pulled myself away from Max and went home. A smile stuck to my face and feeling like I was walking on air. I looked down to see I actually was. Hovering just above the ground. I walked. As I passed under the flowers that grew around the gate I saw her sitting there. Her dark wings lightly tucked against her back in a force of habit. Her eyes fixated on something on the path in front of her. I quietly walk up to her and sit on our front porch steps.

"What now?" she asks concentrating on the moss between the pavement. The light rain wetting her hair.

"That's up to you." I say taking her hand in mine.

The two of us sit in silence for a while. The rain gets heavier and we scoot further under the cover. Her eyes never wander from the moss. I hear my front door open but we don't move from our position. My hand in hers resting on the floor. Her eyes fixated to the moss that has slowly become interesting to me too. I hear my dad rest himself against the door frame.

Her eyes flutter close and I can tell she is focusing really hard on something. When her eyes open, the formerly aqua deepen to a to an emerald as the moss on the ground grows and a tree forms.

"Sam!" I yell smiling. "You grew a tree!"

"Oh My God." she breaths as I pull her into a hug.
