Anime conversations couldn't be more nerve racking. So many people. So much beautiful (perfectly fit) cosplayers.
I'm here for the merch and meet & greets.
I recently joined this cool app. You enter what event you're going to and it'll partner you with a random person that's also going, so you two can both explore the place together as buddies. I found it really cool and the reviews were amazing. I had to try it. I'm not good at approaching people or making friends, so this a great shot for me.
I'm waiting at the front of the building for my partner to arrive, I came early so I could get in without waiting too long in line. The person I'm supposed to meet is Tom, he's got black -slightly messy- hair, dark brown eyes, thick black glasses, and a cute anime shirt.
He looks absolutely adorable, I feel like a potato compared to him.
As I was looking through my phone, someone spoke in front of me "E-excuse me.."
I look up from my phone and immediately catch eye contact with the boy I'm supposed to meet. My face burns up as I quickly turn my phone off and stuff it in my pocket "O-oh, Hey.."
"Hi.. Are you.. Y/n?" Tom nervously scratches his head as he glances down at his pink phone.
"Yeah, and you're Tom?" I speak quietly as I manage a smile.
"Yes I am.. It's nice to meet you.." He smiles back as he held his hand out to me. I take his hand and shake it, his grip is loose and his skin is really soft.
After a few awkward seconds, Tom speaks up "So.. You wanna go inside?"
"Yeah. Sounds good." I quickly nod and start heading towards the entrance with him beside me.
"What's your favorite anime?" He spoke as we entered the large building filled with people.
"Hmm.. Well, there's a lot but.. F/As" I list my favorite in order as I use my fingers to keep track of them all.
"Wow, thats a lot," Tom grinned as he watched me count, "I love all the animes you just listed! But there's so much more you're missing out on, like.." He started naming a bunch of anime that I haven't heard of before, and tells me a short story for each of them.
"Wow, you have to text me the list!" I couldn't hold back my stupid big grin as a rush of excitement goes through me.
"Will do." He nodded proudly as he gave me a sly smile.
My cheeks heat up once again as I admire his cute facial features, the way his cheeks turn a soft shade of red whenever we catch eye contact, his cute smile.
Tom looks at me then blushes a dark crimson red "D-do I have something on my face?" He brings his hands to his face and feels around.
"N-no! you're-.. I just-.. Sorry.." I turn my head away as my entire face burns in embarrassment.
"I-It's okay.." Tom lowers his hands, his blush still patterned on his cheeks.
I'm such an idiot.
