Author's POV

"Who's house is this?" Yerim asked the boy who's standing next to her, staring at the traditional house.

He didn't say anything but keep staring. Because of the lack of response she's receiving, she shrugged as she walked to the other side of the entrance, wondering who's house is it.

"Jungkook?" A girl's voice was heard and their attention diverted to her.

She's young, somewhere near their age with average height— but of course, taller than Yerim.

"Shinbi." He muttered as he crept a smile.

The girl seemed to not notice Yerim's existence as she only grabbed his wrist in attempt to bring him inside.

"Granny would be pleasured to see you. Come in."

"Uh, wait." He stopped her, pulling his wrist out of her grasp before walking to the clueless Yerim and took her hand.

"Let's go, Yerim. This is my grandparent's home." He said as he looked into her orbs with a delighted smile plastered on his face.

She had an is-it-okay look on her face, urging Jungkook to say, "She will be fine with this."

Upon listening to his words, she nodded and followed his steps into the house yard.

The girl seemed to have informed their arrival to his granny, as an old woman walk out from the house with a hoping look. Once she saw Jungkook, she never looks away.

As they're a few steps in front of her, Jungkook stopped walking, keep staring. Knowingly, Yerim let go of his hand and the boy made another steps.

"My grandson Jungkook." She said as he hugged her tight.

"I miss you, nanny. How have you been?" He asked as the hug loosened.

Yerim looked at the lovely pair without noticing that someone has been watching her.

"I have been doing good. How was your school programme?" She asked, her smile has never left her face.

"I have a lot to tell but beforehand, I have someone to introduce." He brought his granny to Yerim and the latter walked to them as well.

"This is my classmate, Yerim. And Yerim, this is my nanny." He introduced Yerim to his granny and before she could response, the woman pulled her into an embrace.

"Aigoo. I've got another granddaughter. You must have been tired. Hello dear." She welcomed the girl wholeheartedly.

"Annyeonghaseyo, ma'am. I'm Kim Yerim." She said and the woman suddenly remembered something.

"Is this the same girl that used to be your classmate during your elementary years?"

Yerim's eyes widened at the fact that just came out from his grandmother's mouth.

"Uhh.. well, yes." He said awkwardly while rubbing the nape of his neck.

Someone cleared her throat, interrupted the conversation.

"Jungkook. I'm still here." The Shinbi girl said, she took a space in between Yerim and him.

"Oh, yeah. This is Hwang Shinbi. She's just the girl next door." Jungkook said, introducing the girl who just tossed a glare over Yerim to her.

"Why didn't you attend your dad's memorial day the other day?" She asked and a pang of guilt hit Yerim like a truck.

Sensing the girl has tense up, his granny hushed them.
