chapter three

Yeri's POV

Scowls can be heard in the whole class after the news of Jungkook being my previous crush spreaded in a speed faster than the light. And the situation became worse because the boys have decided that it's fun to tease me with the newly received news.

And now I wish they would juat tease me as the class president, like they usually did.

"Can you stop it?" I asked the boys who are currently in front of my desk.

"What? We are just excited to find out who your crush is." Jaehyun said with a grin.

"Was." I glared at him before continuing, "That was years ago." I said and he stopped doing whatever he's doing.

But then, Junhoe came into the view.

"That doesn't mean that the love can't blossom again." He said with a playful grin plastered on his face.

"You should really stop." I said in annoyance but the boys, as usual, won't listen to me.

I stood up before heading to the toilet to escape that annoying situation. The teachers won't be coming since they have a meeting with the principal.

What should I do now? I've never wanted him to appear in my life again.

Not after what he said.

Sigh. It's okay, Yeri. Let's face him.

Just as I exited the toilet, I saw Jungkook leaning his back against the wall next to the door. He was startled to see me, abruptly standing up properly.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him, trying to not make any eye contact with him.

"Just wanted to see if you're okay." He said, with a glimpse of his bunny smile that I had not seen for 4 years apparent through the lashes of mine.

Sure, I missed that smile that once made my day, but that doesn't mean I would want to see it again.

"I'm perfectly fine before you came here." I said with a poker face.

"I know." He replied, short.

"Then, why did you come?" I snapped at him, my eyes meeting his on a fury expression, a bit furious of his presence.

But he didn't answer, his eyes fixed on me but no voice came from him. I rolled my eyes in annoyance before walking pass him,heading back to the class.

"You was with Jungkook, right?" Tzuyu who's sitting right behind me asked.

"Yeah." I answered her as I turned around to face her, "Why must he be here?"

The girl shrugged as I let out a sigh. I placed my head on her table with my left cheek against it.

"Maybe it's a part of your destiny." Chaeyoung said and I abruptly sat up right, looking at the girl who is wriggling her eyebrows in annoyance.

"You two had been so sweet around each other since elementary school. Who knows?" Yeoreum said while nodding in approval.

"Ugh.. Which sweet are you talking about? Is it when he spits on me? Or when he pulled my hair to annoy me?" I said with dripping sarcasm, chasing the memories that suddenly flooding into my mind back to the dungeon that I've created back there.

They laughed at my disgusted expression, causing me to glare at them.

"What's so funny? You didn't go through those hell-ful moments so you don't understand." I said before lowering my head, positioning my cheeks on the table once again.

"Of course we don't." Tzuyu said as she stopped laughing.

"Fine, we don't understand a thing." Yeoreum paused before continuing, "so what are you going to do?"

"What?" I asked in confusion, not moving from my position.

"He's here. What will you do?" Tzuyu asked this time, playfully knocking the top of my head.

"I don't know. I'm still mad at him." I said while slapping Tzuyu's hand.

"For what?" Chaeyoung asked in interest.

But I didn't answer her. I can't possibly tell them about that. That will hurt him too.

Just then, I caught Jeon Jungkook staring at me and he looked away instantly.

Is he crazy or something?

Jungkook's POV

Yerim seemed to feel displeased to have me around. I understand. Those acrimonious memories that we had can never left her mind.

"I'm sorry." I said and she look surprised.

"Huh?" She has a puzzled look on her face as she stared at me.

Her friends had left to let the two of us to have a litte talk while walking home. As for Gyujin, he's somewhere on this earth, breathing.

"I'm here to fix everything. An apology obviously cannot fix everything but at least my heart would be at ease after this." I explained but she's still speechless.

Sorry is new for her.

"You're telling me that you moved from your old school just to apologize?" She finally spoke up after years of silence.

"Sort of. I also wanted to use up my time fix my relationship with you." I said again as I looked at her face. The girl doesn't seems to be able to process the words I've said.

"Me? You mean everything?" She asked with her arms motioning a large amount of things.

"Yes. I know 'everything' is too many. But at least I can try. We can start all over again. I will reduce the amount of harsh words that I use but I can't help if I'm being annoying," I paused to look at her, "but if you don't want to, can you at least act as if you've forgiven me?"

"Urm.. how do I say this.. Jungkook, I can't get use of hearing those nice words from you. Let's just pretend that I've never been hurted and just live your life just like Jeon Jungkook I knew." The girl said which is quite surprising.

"You're being serious? You don't mind if I curse?" I asked her again in disbelief.

"Yeah. I'm used to it since every boys of my class can't live a day without cursing. And even though I warned them about using bad words, they won't ever listen to me. So, yeah." She replied me with a small smile lingering on her lips.

"Oh.. I see.." I said as we continued to walk by each other's side.

"But I still don't curse." She tried to tell me the unchanged fact and I chuckled.

"I can see that very well." I said as I took a glance at her. She's smiling for the first time ever since I moved into the school.

"So, are we best friends again?" I asked her.

"Have we ever been best friends?" She asked playfully, which is quite evil.

"You've been quite bad. Since when, huh?" I asked her while slightly punching her shoulder as she giggled.

"Since I'm a student of Hanlim High School." She said proudly.

"Tch. But you still can't beat me." I said and she nodded in approval.

"Can't agree more." She said and I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

Maybe I should have done this long time ago.

So this update is for red velvet's rookie rookie comeback♥ Actually I was thinking of updating this fic once a month but I guess I could not hold myself. So in conclusion, my updates depends on my mood.

I know this chapter is a bit-or too- boring. This chapter is just to tell you how Yeri and Jungkook made up. That's all. And I think it's too early for a romance. My upcoming chapters would be more... perverted.😂 Do look out for it♥
