Author's POV
"Class president! Have you done your homeworks?" A boy, namely Jaehyun popped out his head at the door to call out the class' vice president, Kim Yerim or widely known as Yeri.
"I'm not the class president." She replied the boy as she walked to her seat. She gazed the boy when he stood in front of her desk.
"Not yet," Another boy, a little shorter than the first, said teasingly as he tailed Jaehyun from behind. The actual class president- Jaehyun- high-fived the shorter boy while giggling, both of them always had fun while teasing his vice president.
"Yeah, not yet. So, technically, Jaehyun is still holding the title." She said to the boys, holding back the urge of smacking their head against each other as she shook her head in disapproval.
"But... technically, you're the class monitor because you literally handled the class by yourself." The boy had exclaimed again. But this time, Jaehyun frowned in protest.
"Nah, you're making me looks like a useless person. I helped her with everything, okay?" He said in disagreement against Bambam's words, feeling a bit humiliated by the latter's exclamation.
Although their homeroom teacher had been appointing Yeri for almost everything related to the class instead of himself, he still insist that he sometimes helped too– although apparently his existence didn't do much help, but somehow in terms of communication did help her. Yeri was never the one that did well in socializing anyways.
"But I thought she had been doing your jobs ever since Mr Jang sent your name as the school's prefect." He said again, opposing his friend with one of his eyebrows raised mockingly and the latter looked at him in pure disbelief.
"That is not true!" He retorted, "You have been telling lies recently, Bam."
"Hey, what lie? Don't drop the topic."
Yeri sighed at the two boys. She should have known what is occurring soon as she thought, here we go.
"Let's see, what about your exclamation of you becoming smarter or maybe the time you said you're getting more handsome?" Jaehyun asked accusingly, reminiscing the times when Bambam would self proclaimed everything that is opposite of his true self, with his thumb on his chin and index finger on his cheek,as if he's thinking.
"That's not lies. It's a fact." Bambam proudly said that his nose is getting higher as he tilted his chin, arms crossed against his chest.
This guy sure have a mountain of confidence, Yeri thought, silently watching the scene unfolding before her.
"Your worst lie was about you getting taller." The other boy spoke up again and Bambam's face immediately fell.
"I do get taller!" He defended himself from the insult he just shot at his height.
He's well aware that his height is a bit lower than average, compared to other guys in his class, but he didn't like speaking of the matter as he thought 'it doesn't sound cool'.
"Yeah, sure you do. Taller than Yeri, am I right?" Jaehyun said sarcastically, and Yeri let out yet another sigh.
"Why must you two drag me into your problems, especially when it's about my height?" She asked, getting irritated with their argument. "Can you two bicker at other places?"
She still have to check if everyone had sent their assignment to her.
"Why are we here again, Jae?" Bambam asked the taller boy and the latter merely shrugged.
"No idea. Let's just leave." He replied. Bambam nodded and they turned to leave.
"Why don't we wait for Junhoe's arrival?" Jaehyun stared at him for a while before creeping up a huge grin.
