Once we were in our seats on the plane, I saw this as a chance to fall asleep. Of course, we all knew that wasn't going to happen though.
As I was starting to dose off, the captain decided to speak over the intercom, informing us that the stewards and stewardesses were about to perform the safety procedures.
"And the exits are here, here and here" the captain said while the stewardess in our compartment pointed them out.
She then pulled down the oxygen mask and showed us how to use it. And lastly, she pulled out the life jacket and showed us how to breathe air into in through the little tube. I don't really care to be honest. I know that probably sounds really bad, but I've been on planes too many times now to know the whole thing by heart.
All I wanted to do was sleep, but with Pete next to me...yeah that's not happening.
First the safety procedures, now Pete. What could be better? Note: sarcasm.
He decided it would be a good idea to keep asking me irrelevant questions to keep me awake.
"What's your favourite colour?" He asked.
"Blue and black" I answered.
"Cool...what's your favourite number?"
"3" I answered getting bored of this already.
"Why?"
"Because my birthday is the 3rd of June...3 is the day, therefore it's my favourite number" I replied.
"Oh ok, what's your favourite flower?"
"I don't know...a rose?"
"What's your favourite thing about me?"
"When you shut up" I had seriously given up with answering his questions now, and when he asked that, I just couldn't help myself.
"That's mean" he replied, with a fake offended look.
"What's mean?" Patrick asked. He was sitting in the set next to Pete because there was 3 seats on each row.
"Ok, can we stop with the questions? thanks" I said.
"That was a question" Pete said laughing. I just rolled my eyes at him.
Pete turned around to face Patrick and started telling him what we were talking about.
Finally, I can sleep.
~
When I woke up, I realised I had only slept for half an hour, but it was refreshing.
I turned around and noticed Pete was sound asleep. Payback time. I probably had a really sinister smile on my face, but I didn't really care.
I immediately started poking his arm. Over and over again.
"Pete" I whispered. He pushed my hand away in his sleep.
"5 more minutes" he replied.
"Pete" I said a little louder this time. Still no answer.
"Pete"
"WHAT" he shouted, making people turn around to look at him. It even woke some people up...they weren't happy either.
"Calm down were on a plane" I whispered and started laughing quietly. His face turned bright red, making me laugh even more.
"Why did you do that?" He asked.
"Because I can" I replied shrugging. He rolled his eyes at me and turned over to face the other way.
"You love me really" I said. No reply. "Fine then" I said and turned to look out of the window.
All of a sudden, I felt his arms wrap around me. "I guess I do" he said.
"What?" I asked.
"You said that I love you" he replied.
"Oh, I did. Didn't I?" I asked.
"Yep" he said smiling.
"That was supposed to be rhetorical"
"Was it?" He asked.
"Yep"
We fell asleep in each others arms.

When we woke up, the plane had landed. All we needed to do was wait 15 minutes, then we could get off.
"What do you want to do while we wait?" Pete asked.
"Um, I don't know" I replied.
"Wait I know, So now you're fully rested and I'm not annoying you, what's your favourite thing about me?" He asked.
"Nothing"
"Oh bitch please, you know you like everything about me" he said in a girly voice while waving his hand about.
"Whatever you say" I replied. And we got off the plane.
We done the usual: get our bags, go to passport control and then left.
Luckily the guys had their cars dropped off here by family members, I'm guessing.
Pete insisted on dragging my suitcase all the way from baggage claim all the way out to his car. I didn't want him to because he had his own to drag along, but he wouldn't take no for an answer...actually he didn't ask at all he just took it from my hands and started to walk off.
He put our luggage in the back of his car while I got in...only, I got in the wrong side. Trust me to do that. And of course Pete noticed and started laughing.
"Oh so you're diving now are you?" He asked.
"Shut up" I said in a joking tone.
I walked to the other side and got in...again.
"Oh, but I was looking forward to you driving me around" he said pretending to be sad, but I could see him trying not to laugh.
"Just drive" I said shaking my head at him.
"Ok, ok" he said raising his hands in surrender.
He drove back to his house, which was a good half an hour away from the airport. I tried to take in as much scenery as I could, even if most of it was just houses and motorways or 'highways' as they call it here. I recognised some of it, but other parts I must not have been paying attention to when I last came here.
Pete finally stopped outside his house, and we got out of the car. He got the luggage and unlocked the door.
