Chapter 18

We had just landed in England and I was so happy to back home, but I have to admit, I miss LA.

Today is also the day Nathan comes home, so him, Caitlynn and Freddie will be coming down from London to stay with our parents.

We had to wait by the 'pick up and drop off' area because Chloe dropped me off when I went to America so I wouldn't have to pay for the car park for 2 weeks as it's really expensive.

I looked towards Pete to see him look stressed. "Whats wrong?"

"Nothing." He told me.

"No, something's wrong. You can tell me." I replied.

"I'm just nervous, that's all." He said.

"There's nothing to be nervous about."

"Yes, there is. What if your family doesn't like me?" He asked.

"They already love you, they just want to meet you in person rather than me telling them all about you."

We had finally arrived home after we waited 15 minutes for Chloe. It felt good to be home, and I mean home home as in the building that shelters me from the horrors of the outside world, not just home as in England.

"Ok, so go and unpack, then when you've finished, you can come down here and help me and Adam set up." Chloe instructed.

"What do you mean help set up?" I asked.

"Well, you came home today, and so did Nathan, so we thought we should have a coming home party for you guys. But mainly for Nathan." She said.

"Ok, 1) I was only gone for 2 weeks so there's not really any point in the party being somewhat for me, and 2) are me and Pete not allowed to rest? We just got off of an 11 hour flight." I said.

"Can't you rest after, your parents will be here too and everyone is hoping to meet Pete tonight." she said.

"Ok, fine, but the minute everyone has left, we're going upstairs to get some sleep. I guess you two will have to clean up yourselves." I said.

"Whatever." She said rolling her eyes.

After we finished unpacking, got dressed into something nicer and finished setting up, we all sat down for some rest, which was especially needed by me and Pete.

"What time is everyone supposed to get here?" I asked.

"In about..." Adam said with a pause to check his watch. "10 minutes. Not enough time to start watching a film or anything."

"So, what should we do to pass the time then?" Pete asked.

"Um...we could just sit and talk." I replied.

"That's what we're doing now you dumbass." Chloe stated.

We sat in silence for another 5 minutes, until the doorbell rang. "They're early." I stated. "I'll get it then"

I got up and opened it to see everyone was here.

"Hey guys, it's so nice to see you again." I said.

They all gave me a hug as they stepped through the door. Then we all went into they living room where they all greeted Chloe and Adam.

"Guys..." I said, catching their attention. "This is Pete. Pete, this is my mum, my dad, my brother Nathan, Nathan's wife Caitlynn and their son Freddie."

He shook all of their hands but my mum pulled him in for a hug. "It's so nice to finally meet you. I've heard such lovely things about you, and I know you and Phoenix are perfect for each other." She said. "I'm just waiting for more grandbabies now...which I hope will be very soon."
