~Phoenix's P.O.V~
It's been 5 months since the incident, Pete went back to America and I have now fully recovered.
Having a long distance relationship isn't always easy, but we make it work. Pete can't move to England because of Fall Out Boy and the studio is in LA, and I didn't really want to move away from my family and I had work to think about as well. Maybe when the time comes, we will know what to do.
It's our 1 year anniversary next week, so I'm flying over to America tomorrow. "So, what's Pete got planned?" Chloe asked. She seems to be more into the idea of couples and being in love now, since Adam proposed to her 3 months ago. I'm gonna be maid of honour, obviously.
"I don't know, but I'll tell you once I do know." I replied.
"That will probably be after whatever he has planned then." She said, rolling her eyes.
"Probably."
I had just finished packing, so now all I wanted to do was relax, but I couldn't with Chloe following me about and asking lots of questions.
"Did you get him anything?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"Well...what did you get him?"
"I'm not gonna tell you." I said.
"Why not? I'm your best friend, I'm like your sister, except I'm gonna be your cousin in-law?" She said, but it seemed more like a question. "Anyway, you can trust me. I won't tell anyone."
"Fine. I got him a guitar pick necklace." I told her.
"Is that it?" She asked, scrunching her nose up.
"Yes, why?" I asked.
"You can't just get him that, it doesn't seem like much."
"But...it's got our anniversary date and 'Petenix' engraved onto it."
"Awww. But as sweet as that is, it doesn't seem like that much." She said.
"What am I supposed to do? There's not enough time to go emergency gift shopping. I'm leaving tomorrow, and it's 10pm. All the shops are shut."
"You'll have to get him something in LA then, won't you." She stated.
"Fine, but what else do I get him?" I asked.
She thought for a second, before answering. "Something unique...something that tells him you love and appreciate him-what about getting him a personalised bass?"
I stood up from my bed too quickly, making me slightly dizzy for a second. "Do you know how much that would cost? I don't have that kind of money. I barely have enough for a new bass without it being personalised. How would I even personalise a bass? Where would I go to get that done?" I asked too many questions at once.
"Good point. Maybe you could go into a fender shop and ask about it and try to get a price range?"
"Fine, I'll look into it. But if it's too expensive, it's not happening." I huffed. "It's a good thing I set up a bank account in LA a few months ago."

I arrived at the LAX airport and was now waiting for Pete to come and pick me up. I heard someone run up behind me, and then they put their hands over my eyes. "Guess who?"
"That's so cliché." I said, taking Pete's hands off my face, and turning to hug him.
"Hey stranger, I've missed you." He said, grinning widely.
"I've missed you too, but can we get back to yours now? It's getting really hot." I said looking at the temperature on my phone- 33°c.
"Sure." He replied.
"Oh and I need to go out later." I told him.
"Why?" He questioned looking confused.
"I just need to see if I can get something. I shouldn't be out for too long though." I reassured him.
"Ok." He shrugged it off and we got in his car.
On the way back, we listened to Queen. Well, more like singing at the top of our lungs to Queen songs.
As soon as we got back, I unpacked. Once I finished, I walked downstairs to find Pete sitting on the sofa watching cartoons. I rolled my eyes, but smiled nonetheless.
"Hey, I'm gonna head out now." I told him.
He nodded and stood up. "Ok, you can take my car if you want." He said handing me the keys.
"Well I was kinda hoping you would offer, because I would have no other way of getting to where I want to go." I said. "Thanks."
I walked out to the car, and got in. I drove to the nearest fender store I could find.
Once I got there, and had parked the car, I walked in and looked around for an employee. As soon as I spotted one, I tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around and smiled brightly at me, before taking a proper look at me and then her eyes widened and her mouth opened slightly.
"Hi, I was wondering if I could get a personalised bass?" I questioned her.
"Uh-um...sure. Follow me." She seemed to be shaking.
"It's ok, you don't need to be nervous, I'm just a normal person." I said, trying to calm her down.
"No you're not...you're not just normal, you're Phoenix Goddard. Pete Wentz's girlfriend."
"I might be his girlfriend, but that doesn't make me any less normal. To be honest he's just a normal guy as well. I'm not even famous, I'm just a hairdresser. Think of me as a normal customer." I said smiling.
"Ok. So what do you want today?" She asked.
"Well I was hoping I could find out if it was possible to personalise a bass, and to possibly see how much that would be?"
"Sure, you can definitely personalise a bass. Let me go and check the price range." She said, then walked off.
I looked at the other bass' hanging up on the wall for a bit, until she came back. "Ok, so it depends on what you want to get, but it ranges between $2,500-$4,000."
$4,000? I don't have that much money. I'll be broke if I get that. We talked for 10 minutes, and I told her what I wanted to get. In the end, it came to about $3,100, which isn't that bad, but it was still quite expensive.
I ordered it, and she said they would get it in the shop on the day that happened to be our anniversary. It came with a case, so I wouldn't ruin it on the way home.
Once I got back to Pete's house, we decided to order a pizza and watch TV until we wanted to go to bed.

It's boring, but it's something.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
