Once we got back home, Ashley and Tommy offered to help us set up for the party. We let the kids go outside so that Bronx didn't know what was going on.

"So, what's going where?" Ashley asked as I handed her a box of decorations I brought a couple of days ago.

"Just hang the banners up on the walls, and we can blow a few balloons up with the helium tank" I replied. "Oh and there might be a few other decorations in there that can be dotted around the room"

"Ok, should me and Tommy put up the decorations while you and Pete blow up the balloons?" She asked, I nodded in reply.

"What theme did you go with in the end?" Pete asked. He had given me a few different options of things Bronx liked the other day.

"Dinosaurs"

We all got to work with the tasks we were given, and with the help of Tommy and Ashley, everything was done in half the time we expected it to be done in.

There were a few balloons with pictures of dinosaurs on dotted about the room, with a few mini dinosaurs figures for the kids to play with. There was also some banners on the walls that said 'happy birthday' on them.

"I just remembered that I've got a bouncy castle from a few of Bronx's other birthday party's. I could get that out for the kids to play on" Pete said.

"Yeah, that's I great idea. I think they will all enjoy that" I said.

Soon after we had done everything, the guests started to arrive.

First it was Brendon, Dallon and Spencer, since they had all come together.

Then 5 minutes later, Pete's parents and Hillary and Andrew were there. Now we were just waiting on Patrick, Joe and Andy.

"It's really nice of you to do all of this, we know that Pete is really grateful, and so happy that you and Bronx get along so well" Dale said, as she walked over to me with a glass of wine that Pete got her.

"Thank you, I know I've only known Bronx for a few days, but he already means a lot to me" I said. She smiled at me and we chatted for a bit longer about anything that came to mind.

Once everyone was here, Pete went outside to bring the kids in so we could all surprise Bronx.

They walked in and we all shouted "SURPRISE" making them jump, but then Bronx smiled and looked really happy that he got a birthday party from us and not just Ashlee.

"Is this party for me?" Bronx asked looking kind of shy but still happy.

"Yes bud, it is. Why don't you go and say hi to everyone?" Pete suggested, and soon, Bronx was off talking to everyone.

He got a lot more presents as everyone there had brought him one, but he could open them all later.

Pete went outside to set up the bouncy castle. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and so was I until I got a notification from twitter.

I went upstairs so I could look at it and not get in anyone's way. What I didn't expect to see was a violent message from one of Pete's fans.

'@YoungbloodSinner:
I don't know what all the fuss is about with @ThePhoenix she's an ugly slut that is probably just using Pete for fame and money, she's an attention whore that needs to be stopped. I say we either kill her or make her kill herself. She's just worthless.'

What did I do wrong? I thought the fans liked me? Well I guess I was wrong.

I usually say to myself that no one else's opinions on me matter if I don't personally know them or care about them. All that matters is if I'm comfortable with myself and if my friends and family like me. But for some reason this got to me.

Maybe it was the fact that they practically just threatened me and said they wanted me dead, and I happen to be more scared than upset, but I still feel like I want to curl up in a ball and cry.

A few people had commented, either agreeing or disagreeing with it, but that didn't matter to me, the only thing that mattered was the actual tweet itself.

It made me feel defenceless and small, like I had no armour to protect me. I didn't think that was something I would be reading when I got the notification.

Pete must have noticed I was missing from the party, because he came upstairs to find me sitting on the floor staring at nothing and contemplating my own existence.

"What are you doing up here? The party's downstairs silly" he tried to joke, but I just zoned him out. "What's wrong?" Again no answer. He looked scared now.

I finally looked up at him. "It's nothing, don't worry"

I got up and walked out of the room as if nothing had happened. "Ok then" I heard Pete mumble under his breath.

I went back downstairs, I couldn't let this get to me, at least not while the party was going on. I couldn't ruin this for Bronx.

~

The party went on like a normal 6 year olds birthday party, we played a few party games, watched the kids play in the bouncy castle and just laughed a lot really.

I still couldn't get the tweet out of my head, but I made sure it didn't look like my mind was on other things.

The cake Bronx woke up to was only a small cake, because I had made a bigger cake, and somehow managed to make a
T-Rex to put in the top, it wasn't professional good, but it was still somewhat good. I put a few sprinkles around it, and spelled out 'Bronxasaurus' with icing. I think it looked pretty good for me making it, but then again I have pretty low standards.

Everyone was sat in the living room while I went into the kitchen to get the cake and put the candles on it.

No one had seen it yet, not even Pete, so this was gonna be a surprise for everyone.

I walked in singing 'happy birthday', and soon everyone joined in. I placed it in front of Bronx, and he looked as if he was admiring it for a second, I've got to say, that made me feel good about my self.

"Wow, did you make this?" Bronx asked.

"Yes, why" I asked, grinning at him.

"Because it's amazing" he stared at it wide eyed before Pete spoke up.

"Make a wish and blow out the candles"

He closed his eyes and sat there for a while before blowing out the candles for the second time today. "I wished for the same thing again, so I can make sure it happens"

"Oh, so you didn't wish for a toy or something then?" Pete asked.

"Nope" Bronx replied shaking his head.

"What did you wish for last time?" Brendon asked.

"Not telling. It won't happen otherwise" Bronx said.

"Aww, but I wanted to know" Brendon said sticking his bottom lip out.

"Not happening" Bronx said.

"Don't worry, he didn't even tell me this morning" Pete said.

Once the party was over, we started to clean everything up. It was just me, Pete and Bronx now.

Bronx had opened his presents when everyone was still here, he got a few more clothes and toys, but that was it. There really isn't much else you can get a 6 year old for their birthday.

"Phoenix?" Bronx said getting my attention.

"Yeah?" I asked, crouching down to his height.

"Thank you for my party, daddy told me it was all your idea and that you planned the whole thing without anyone's help"

"That's ok Bronx, you deserved it" I said.

He looked at me, and all of a sudden he flung his arms around me and said "I love you Phoenix, you make me and my daddy very happy"

I hugged him back, and started crying. I looked up to see Pete smiling with a few tears in his eyes. I opened my arms, and Pete soon joined In on the hug. It felt perfect. It felt like I had a family of my own.
