*Trigger warning*

Pete didn't even know half of the story. Well he knew most of it but it's a figure of speech.

Vinny hadn't just bossed me about and pushed me out of his way, he made sure that when I didn't obey his rules, he would hurt me. Bad.

I remember one time, for example.

~flashback~

"Babe...I'm home, get me a beer NOW" he slurred.

"Ok, wait a second, I'm making dinner" I said whilst rushing around in the kitchen trying to make sure nothing was burning.

"I don't care what you're doing, I said get me a beer now" he said sternly.

I looked down to see the pasta was about to boil over, and I couldn't do two things at once. He was just going to have to wait, otherwise he would complain about his dinner not tasting as nice as it should do because it's slightly over cooked.

I quickly turned down the heat on the stove and then went to the fridge to get his precious beer.

"How long does it take to get a fucking beer in this house you piece of shit, I asked for this like...yesterday" he said glaring at me.

"Sorry, here you go" I said handing him the beer.

"HOW THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DRINK THIS?" He shouted making me jump slightly.

"Wha-what do you mean?" I asked. He always scared me when he was like this.

"Are you blind?" He asked spitting in my face as he was getting closer to me.

"N-no, what's the matter with your b-eer?"

"The cap is still on, go and get a bottle opener and open it for me" he spoke slowly.

"Can't you do it? I need to finish making dinner" I replied, cowering into the corner.

"Can't you do it?" He said imitating my voice and actions before laughing in my face. "Who do you think I am? Your slave?" He spoke sourly.

"No, it's just that-" he cut me off by slamming his shoulder into me and walking over to the now fully boiled kettle. He picked it up and walked to me pouring it all onto my head.

I screamed in pain as the scorching hot water ran down me like a waterfall.

After that, he walked off and slammed the front door. I didn't see him for the rest of the night.

~end of flashback~

That's not the only thing he did to me though.

There was another time-actually it was the day where I realised I couldn't carry on with the way things were going. The day I broke up with him.

~flashback~

"What is it that you wanted to talk about? Oh and make it quick, I'm going to the pub with some of my friends soon"

"I don't think this is working out" I said quickly.

"What's not working out?"

"This, us. Our whole relationship. I can't deal with this anymore" I replied, a few tears falling from my eyes.

"No" he said sternly.

"No what?"

"No you are not leaving me" he said calmly.
