Friend Zoned

Chapter 1

6:00 AM

*Beep Beep Beep*

*hits snooze*

6:30 AM

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

*hits snooze again*

7:20 AM

*BEEEEEP BEEEEP BEEEEP BEEEEP*

*hits snoo-*"OH SHIT I HAVE 15 MINUTES FUCK FUCK FUCK" I think as I drag myself out of bed for the first day of school. I run to my closet and grab the first things I see, which are conveniently a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a red flannel. I slip on my black converse along with my backpack and run out the door as I check the time: 7:28 "fuuuuuuuccckkkkkk" I groan out loud while speed walking to my car.

As I'm jamming the keys into the ignition I notice a boy out of the corner of my eye. He had really dark hair which seemed like it could be black or possibly dark brown, his skin was fairly tan and he seem really tall, maybe about 6 foot something. I noticed he was wearing a black hoodie with an All Time Low logo printed on it. " "Kid's got good taste" I thought to myself, while I was still staring through my car window. He had his hood up and was leaving the house next door to mine. He suddenly looked at me and yelled " YA KNOW IT'S RUDE TO STARE."  Shit. Abort mission. I repeat ABORT MISSION " YA KNOW IT'S RUDE TO YELL AT PEOPLE " I shouted back while checking the time: 7:33 "Goddammit!"I screamed as I quickly pulled out of the drive way,  and raced down the road to school. 

Once I got to school I rushed to homeroom and snuck in acting as if I weren't already 10 minutes late. I scanned the room for any familiar faces and pleasantly enough I saw my best friend, Sky . She was busy talking to my childhood friend Luke. Apparently he's her new boyfriend for the week which kind of annoys me because hes actually a good guy. See the thing about sky is that she's a great person and she is honestly the most flawless human I've met but, she's literally dated and broken the hearts of every single guy I've known. My thoughts get interrupted by the first bell ringing.

I rush out of the classroom colliding paths with someone. We both fall and a familiar voice mumbles " Watch where you're going". I quickly look up, to see the dark haired boy from this morning. " Sssorry... " I stutter while getting up off of the ground. " Hey aren't you the girl that I caught staring at me this morning?" he asks. " Hey aren't you that boy who yelled at me this morning?" I reply sassily. "Yea... sorry about that. I'm not really a morning person " he says awkwardly.  " It's fine. I can relate. Anyways aren't you new? Because I've never seen you around here before" I reply  " Yea I just moved to Sydney a couple weeks ago. " He says uncomfortably. " oh, cool. So where ya from?" I ask trying to keep the conversation going. " I was born in Sydney and have lived here for a majority of primary school and then I moved to Melbourne and eventually I came back here." He explains. " What brings you back here? And why'd you move to Melbourne in the first place?" I ask curiously. "Ugh that's none of your business .Do you always have to ask so many questions?! .....  I have to get to class"  He says rudely as he storms pass me. I'm kinda taken back by the sudden mood swing but before he gets too far I yell "Wait! whats your name?" "Calum"  He replies hesitantly  before walking faster into the music hall. 

I didn't see Calum for the rest of the day until lunch. I noticed that he was sitting alone, not eating anything and I was about to sit with him and offer to give him my food until I saw Luke , Micheal and sky . "oh well. he probably doesn't want to be bothered by me anyway" I thought as I made my way to sit with my friends. Michael conversated with me while Sky was practically sucking all of the moisture out of  Luke's mouth. After lunch the day went by pretty slowly, going through the same old first day of school crap in every class.

After school I hung out with Michael for a bit and then went home. Once I got into my room I stripped off all of my clothes and put on some early 2000's songs and jammed out in my bra and underwear.  For some reason my eyes wandered to my window to find Calum staring at me dancing , while chuckling to himself. I quickly closed my curtain and slipped into bed."Damn that boy isn't bad looking" I thought to myself as I drifted off to sleep.

A/N: So this is my first fan fiction that I've ever written so sorry if it's crap. Also sorry that this first chapter seems a bit boring/ slow. It'll get better I promise ( or at least I hope.) I don't really know how often I'll update this because some times I lack motivation and creativity while other times I'll get random bursts of it and end up writing 4 chapters at a time so it all depends. Also the main character's name is Alex just in case you were wondering since I don't really mention her name in this chapter.
