Chapter Thirteen

I grabbed my box o' books and hauled it up to my room, with Smile Dog at my heals. As I walk into the room, I notice a bookshelf that I've never seen before. It's the almost same shade of purple as the walls, but it's a tad lighter.
I kneel down in front of it. There's not a spec of dust on it. I ignore that, and begin putting the books on the shelf. Sally comes in as I do so, and she sees one of the big thick Cardcaptor Sakura manga books.
"Whoa," she breaths, "did you read that whole thing?"
"Mmhm," I smile, "I read the big ole book."
"Wow... incredible!"
"I read all of them," I said, putting book one and two of the series on the shelf. "Hey, Sally, can you read?"
"Yeah! Slendy taught me!"
"Okay," I smile, deciding not to put the first Cardcaptor Sakura book on the shelf, "do you wanna read the big ole book?"
"What?" Sally gasps. "It'd take forever!"
"Oh, really?" I ask. "Well, it won't. It's manga!"
I flip through the book, showing her all the pictures on every page.
"Ooh!" she cries. "I do wanna read it, then."
"Go ahead," I laugh, giving her the book.
She runs out of the room, almost running into Jeff in the process.
"Sorry Big Brother," she says, then disapears down the hall. I continue putting the books on the shelf.
"Big Brother?" I ask him when he comes to stand behind me.
"It's a stupid nickname she gave me," he sighs.
"Oh," I answer, then holler, "Hey Sally! Call him 'Onii-chan'!"
"Okay!" Sally calls back.
"Oh-nee what?" he asks.
"Onii-chan," I reply. "Japanese."
I smile again to myself when I pick up the Kingdom Heart's manga. A great childhood started with this manga. A great childhood that ended too fast. I pick up my phone to look at a picture I've saved of someone who was kind of in this manga, but the younger version of him. Then I flip to him in the book, and compare.
I can't believe I didn't notice they were the same people when I started this game! I laugh to myself, thinking about when I started playing Final Fantasy VIII.
"Who's that?" Jeff asks.
"Squall Leonhart," I reply. "He calls himself Leon in this one," I say, pointing to the book.
Jeff doesn't answer. He just leaves the room. As soon as he does, though, Sally's cheerful voice rings from her room.
"Kero-chan is so cuuuuute!" she coos. I laugh, then grab my bathrobe and towel for a shower.

I'm ending this chapter short. I don't know what to write about anymore. FYI, Otaku-chan is obsessing over Final Fantasy VIII right now, sorry.
