~Jeff's POV~
I remember tears
streaming down your face,
When I said "I'll never let you go,"
When all those shadows almost killed your light, she sings. Why is she singing?
I remember you said
"Don't leave me here alone,"
But all that's dead and gone and past,
Tonight.
Her voice... it reminds me of someone...
Just close your eyes,
The sun is going down.
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now.
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound.
I know it now. Her voice reminds me of my mother.
Don't you dare
Look out your window
Darling, everything's on fire.
The war outside our door keeps raging on.

She sings the chorus again. I hear footsteps, and I know who's footsteps they are. Slenderman stands in the doorway. He sees me, pinning a blondie to a bed, my knife-born hand frozen in the air.
The girl's crimson eyes are misted up and far away.
Just close your eyes...
You'll be alright...
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound.
"Go ahead," she whispers, then she closes her eyes. But I can't move. I stand there for what feels like an eternity. My arm hurts.
"What's wrong?" Slendy asks. I let my hand drop to my side.
"I can't do it," I whisper, then I turn and leave the room.
