~The next morning~
"Y/n.....Y/n.....Y/N!!!"

"I'm up!!!" I screamed as I sat up quickly on the bed.

"Ewww what's that?" I asked feeling my wet bed.

"I squirt you with water......20 minutes ago, but.....that didn't work. Hahahaha" Madison said as she was rolling on the floor laughing.

"What can I say? I'm a heavy sleeper." I said laughing.

I flung my legs over the side of the bed and I headed downstairs with Madison following me.

I grabbed a bowl for me and one for Madison and poured some froot loops in both.

"So....what are you going to do about Miley?" Madison asked referring to my old dog and the move.

"I don't know. I don't think she can take a plane because of her age, but we'll see." She nodded.

We finished our cereal and went upstairs to get dressed.

"Have any of the girls texted you?"

"Nope. Just Jojo, but that was last night and she just said she got home safe." I replied.

After we got ready we just watched a couple episodes of Pretty Little Liars.

"Morning girlies." my mom said as she walked down the stairs.

"Morning mom."

"Morning Margie"

"Where are the other girls?" mom asked.

"Nothing they just couldn't spend the night," I lied. I don't want her to think this is her fault.

"Mmhm." she said pouring herself a cup of coffee "You have to finish packing your room today okay? me and your dad did most of the house and some of your room while you were at school."

"Oh, wow, thanks. I'll get to it right now." I said getting up. "And I'll help." Madison added.

Me and Madison got up and headed to my room. I got out a couple boxes that my mom left at my open door as Madison grabbed some stuff from my drawers and threw them on the bed.

We quietly folded my clothes as we talked. "Aww, I just realized you're birthday's coming up and we won't be there for it." she said pouting.

"Oh yeah. That."

"I still don't understand why you don't like your birthday. I mean you get gifts, cake..."

"And family company" I said laughing.

"That too." She finished blandly.

"I don't know I guess after that thing with him things just weren't the same. It didn't feel as important or fun. Plus, it's so.....what's the word?" I asked snapping my fingers.

"Overrated."

"Ya. I mean I know I'm turning 17 in July (A/n: it is currently the end of May), but I think after all the gifts and the money and the time you put into it, it just isn't worth it." I said.

"So what you're saying is I'm off the hook for getting you a gift?" Madison asked.

"Um no. What I mean is you don't HAVE TO get me a gift....but if u want to that's fine." I said overexaggerating my wink.

"Fine. So what about my gift that you have been saying you'll get me for weeks now?" Madison asked raising her eyebrows as she set down my clothes and put her hands on her hips. By this time we had already packed up my main dresser yet we still had a closet, a smaller dresser and a shoe rack to pack. Not to mention my bathroom.
