(A/n: Don't play the song yet)

Who was that?" Nash asked as he watched Chris take off down the hallway. He had a look of suspicion on his face.

"My friend, Christian. He's coming over later so I can help him with the homework." I tried letting him know as much as possible so that he'd know I wasn't hiding anything and he had nothing to worry about. I looked over Nash's shoulder and saw Matt alone at his locker, which was a perfect opportunity to talk to him about everything. "I'll talk to you later, okay?" I kissed him on the cheek and  hurried over to Matt.

"Hey," he smiled.

"We should tell them both. I can't handle lying to Madison, let alone Nash. I just feel so bad and I'm sorry, but I'm telling them with or without you and-" I was on the verge of tears, but Matt cut me off with a hug. I'm grateful that throughout everything we were still friends and he was there for me and vice versa.

"I've been meaning to talk to you about it, so later tonight I'll call Madison and tell her that I kissed you." He was sincere and I felt kind of bad.

"You don't have to take all the blame, I did kiss you back," I tried reasoning. He sighed and shut his locker while nodding. "I'll tell Nash alone so nothing bad happens." He gave me another friendly hug before taking off down the hallway.

I let out a breath I hadn't been holding in and went down the hall in the opposite direction.

~~~Skip to the end of the day~~~
Nash had to stay after school for something so I walked home alone. I quickly shut the door and locked it before plopping down on my couch. I shut my eyes for a second before I got a notification on my phone.
Chris: Hey, is it all right if I come over rn?
Although I was pretty tired, I agreed, not wanting to back out of something I had agreed to.
Me: Yeah, sure. My address is -----------
Chris: Alright, I'll be over in like 5.
A few minutes later, there was a ring at the door and I opened it to reveal that blonde who had a smirk on his face already. "Hey." I smiled and gave him a hug.
We walked into the living room and I spoke as he seated himself on the couch, "I'll get some snacks, you can make yourself comfortable."
A few seconds later, I came back with a bowl full of grapes and blueberries and other berries. He smiled at me and had his textbook in his laps. "You're the best," he spoke as he threw a grape in the air and caught it in his mouth.
It took a long time, but eventually, I was able to get the information into his head. "Ohhh...that makes more sense." I sighed and shut the book, placing it on the floor and picked up a math textbook. Although I didn't have math with him, I was in advanced and could help him with whatever he didn't understand.
I was munching on some blueberries as the bowl sat on the coffee table in front of us when there was a hard pounding on the door. I didn't have time to even get up before the door opened up and Nash barged in.
"what the hell?!" He yelled seeing me and Chris on the couch.
"Nash, it's not what it looks like, I was just helping him with the homework," I tried explaining as I got up from the couch and walked over in front of him.
(A/n: you can play the song now)
"How do I know that?! Because apparently you kissed Matt too, so I wouldn't put this past you!" I froze. This was it. I didn't even get to tell him myself. There was no hope.
"I heard Matt on the phone with Madison."
"Listen, I was meaning to tell you today but-" I tried calmly speaking, but Nash refused to listen.
"Why didn't you tell me when it happened?! I was suspicious of him, but I trusted you!" I could see his eyes were becoming glossy and that broke my heart.
"He kissed me! It meant nothing!" I was screaming now, too, as tears spilled out of my eyes. Not out of anger, but out of sadness. I guess I thought my volume would somehow convince him.
Nash now spoke quietly as he looked at the ground, which was even scarier than him yelling, "Did you kiss him back?"
"...yes." I whispered as well, always seeming to match his emotion.
Without another word, he turned on his heels and walked out, slamming the door.
"I'm gonna go," Chris said awkwardly as he stood up and gathered his things. I said nothing and ran out the front door, going after Nash.
I saw him walking fast towards his front door and I knew he stop and listen, so I screamed after him, "I'm sorry!!!
He spoke with his back facing me and his hand on the door knob to his front door, "that's a first."
I fell to my knees on the side walk not caring who saw. I didn't cry, I didn't yell, I just thought. I knew this was going to happen.
Before going inside, Nash stopped to say one last thing. "I need some space and, for now, I think we should take a break." It wasn't a question up for debate, it was a statement.
I sat there for a few moments and a few tears slipped subtly. I finally got the strength to stand up and when I did I ran straight to my room and pulled a suitcase out of my closet. I know I shouldn't run away from my problems but I couldn't face him right now. Like he said, he needed space and maybe me being away would be better for the both of us.
I shut the blinds of my window so Nash couldn't see inside, not like he's want to though, and began throwing random clothes in the suitcase. Juju ran into the room all happy, completely oblivious to what was going on. I zipped up my suitcase and checked my phone once. I had a text from Matt saying that Madison had broken up with him and he's sorry but Nash overheard their phone call. It would've been nice to hear that earlier.
I wiped my tears with the back of my hand and sniffles while dragging my suitcase out the room. I wrote a letter to my mom saying I'd be staying at a friends house for a month but I'd be doing all the schoolwork and that I loved her and left it on the coffee table.
I gave Juju a kiss on the forehead before walking out the door and throwing my suitcase into the trunk of my car. I could just do the class work on my own where I go, wherever that is.
I hopped in the car and sighed deeply before turning on the ignition to the car and taking off.
~~~A few hours later~~~
I took a bite of the burger in my right hand as I turned left. I was now in a familiar neighborhood and had decided where I was going to stay for the next month.

I pulled up to the drive way of the homey house and knocked on the door. A few seconds later, the door swung open and the short brunette appeared before me. She was about a head shorter than me, but she was a few years older.

"Hey, Jocelyn." I faked a smile and the second she saw it she pulled me in for a hug. I cried into her shoulder due to her comforting hug urging the tears to fall. "Can I stay here for a while?" I asked my cousin.

"Of course, you didn't need to ask. Come inside and tell me all about it." I nodded and stepped inside following her into the living room, dragging my suitcase behind me.
